Folks can say what they want to about West Point being handed the gold ball every year, but Wayne County should be the team they have to beat. Wayne County has some great football players and a rich tradition. They appear to be being mismanaged (and I don't necessarily mean by coaches). Something is amiss there. They need to find out what that is and fix it. If they do they will get back and put a strangle hold on 5A.

I would agree if I haven't seen baldwyn..... they LOOK the part for sure.

If west point can get pressure with 4 then they will win. If they cannot..... gautier has a chance.

Quit complaining and play the hand you are dealt…. Or hit the transfer portal.

You should definitely be a coach. The 6-8 yard post route takes years to master and it sounds like you recognized it lickity split. It’s not hard to do, just go to college for 4 years and get a teaching license. I’m sure you could knock it out in 3 with your above average intellect.

I think their coach is one of the best in the business. It may be a situation where this place was super lost. He will bring it back.

A lot of people have other things going on… such as life. Some folks are actually out there grinding, coaching and working to win a game. The average man has no idea how hard it is to win just one football game. Below average men come on here and criticize and demean men they wish they could be. I feel sorry for those boys. They will never know what it’s like to put their heart and soul into something, only to be criticized by incompetent people. Petal will not need any Vaseline. OG better be ready.

Hattiesburg will win this game…. I believe. They are the better team and seem to be playing with a purpose. They will not be “outcoached” Vance is the better coach with the better staff this year.

I realize what I’m about to say may be an unpopular opinion (especially in northeast Mississippi), but if YOUR SCHOOL DOES NOT PARTICIPATE IN ALL 3 MAJOR SPORTS THEN THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE FOR A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE SPORT OF THEIR “CHOICE”. If I have a school full of student/athletes that can only play basketball because it’s the only one they offer (for whatever reason, mainly cultural influence) then we fixing to win state in basketball every year. It is not fair to ask a school who has to spread the wealth so to speak to beat a team that specializes year round. Let me digress from my earlier statement. They should be able to compete for a state championship, but only against the schools that offer ONLY BASKETBALL.

One would think there was a “target”. However this seems like a random act of violence that unfortunately and sadly ended the lives of 3 young people. I don’t know the solution but I do know the course of action should the shooter be caught. DP.

As I previously stated NE Jones WILL NOT miss the playoffs. I think Forest is the best overall TEAM in the district. That being said I’m taking NE Jones in the upset…. 14-13.

Very competitive district this year. Could finish the way you’ve predicted or could finish in reverse order. Time will tell. One prediction I will make is NE Jones will not be the odd man out. They will make the playoffs.

Mize will win this game. I guarantee it. I don't have much negative to say about Enterprise other than the impolite fan they have. Mize by double digits is my hope and prediction. And I have no dog in the race.

I love how 1 day after your high school team gets their cheeks clapped… you up in here talking about another coach. Is that your priority? To demean and demoralize men online that work their butts off. This is their livelyhood. Don't really have an impact on anyone. I want to encourage you my brother. Coach Vance is a great coach. His staff is also very good. They haven’t lost because of culture. They’ve lost because they aren’t used to winning.
