I’ve got the Biggersville/Hamilton one up there simply because I think Hamilton who is returning a solid unit and being overlooked by some ranking systems could pull off the early season upset and add their name as a possible contender in 2A North. Also the optics of what occurred in the Brandon/West Point jamboree probably didn’t help matters, but win or lose I want to see us play a clean football game from start to finish. Part of me says take Hattiesburg and their high expectations on the season but other part of me wants to go off of past experiences in this game. Petal comes in winning the last 4 and are 4-1 on the road in the last 5 against Hattiesburg. Can Hattiesburg even this all time series at 12-12? Should be a good one. Merlin Posted August 27, 2024 Share Posted August 27, 2024 (edited) Laurel had a scrimmage a couple weeks ago that was streamed online for a bit. The o line looked slow and like they skipped a few days of weight lifting. Qb threw up prayer almost every pass. And the defense suspect other than a very solid LB group. But it’s a scrimmage so…… Hearing now from some people that in their jamboree it was much of the same. So unless they are sandbagging a bit I expect west jones to work them over.
