MSSportsGuy
Again, not a fan and believe this will ultimately cause more travel issues and also water down competition, but it adds money to the association and that's the likely biggest reason.
Vott
Ok Enterprise Bulldog. Since its official you can put the schools wherever you think they are going to be now.

I would almost wager it is 100% the reason they did it. I do think it can ease the travel issues for some, but it will not be a fix all for travel. I do think it will create parity and there will be some great competition. However, I definitely can see how some see it as watered down. I was really high on this decision a few months back. The more I think on it, the less I like it, but I still think it has great potential overall.

The more I think on it, the less I like it, but I still think it has great potential overall. I think it's awesome. Very needed. I don't think there is a "watered down" competition component. It's still all the same schools playing each other. It's just not 1900 students vs 1000 students anymore which is roughly 450 more boys from the top of 6a to the bottom of it. This is strictly basing things off of football and such but you get the picture. If that's seen as a "watering down" then ok. I see it as more even playing fields which is the total opposite of "watered down."
Rebel Bert
FOR NORTHEAST are not posting actual breakdown of potential regions. SB Live is saying 4A-1A will be an average of 42. I take that as 42, 42, 42, 47. However if you divide evenly it becomes 43, 43, 43, 44.
Chunky6617
Raleigh I think turned in 281 for enrollment and is supposed to be dropping to 2A. I’m interested to see what schools like Forest, Enterprise Clarke, Union, and Wesson turned in for enrollment.

Those schools along I-20 in 2A/3A maybe going north if they keep 40 schools per region. SB Live says an average of 42 that may change things

Chunky6617
So if East Marion would have been the smallest 2A, who would have been the largest 1A? Because that’s who will have to take their spot since they are consolidating with West Marion

I did some 8th grade checking and I think there will be some changes come October. I am projecting 3A will add Moss Point, Jefferson County and loose Morton, Forest, Clarkdale, St Andrew's, Enterprise. 3A Will loose the last 3 along with East Marion to 2A. Bogue Chitto, Bay Springs, Sebastopol will move up.
