They have won 3 State Championships in 5 years and made 4 appearances in that time. I think if I'm a 1A-3A team, I might look elsewhere before picking up a game with them.

They also went 7-4 in 2021 and were bounced out of the playoffs with a two touchdown loss. Ty Keyes doesnt play there anymore.

A better assistant may get that Thang back to 11-0. They need those kids from Sylva Bay Academy back.

What should they follow up with? I mean their last article summed up everything pretty well. I’m sure once the voting is done and we see what happens in April they will publish a story.

Perhaps they will post the actual classes and regions as the director has placed every school if it passes.

You have too. You were spilling all of the information earlier on in this thing. What’s the hold up now?

Playing the waiting game like everyone else. I suppose I can go back and look at the rest of the 8-11 grades. I don't think it's necessary.

The reason it's quiet is because nothing is gonna happen. The 2022 season will be like any other season. Nothing changes til 2023 school yr

I’m going to say they continue to lose kids. Mize will be the biggest school in the county soon.

Population in the county has shifted largely to that triangle between the 3 schools. Kids are heading to the private schools, not returning after college, and not as many chicken farms as they were in the northern part of the county.

I was told from a source that I will say I trust 100% that we are going to 7 classes and reclassification will be as normal as scheduled and we will not see 7 classifications until the 2023 season. I must admit I really thought they would put in place for the 2022 season, but I was wrong. I still think it is a good move overall for the state.

Hillman wants to consolidate. He always has. We will be getting rid of him though. He’s probably the most despised man in smith county. They have tried to consolidate for years, but it’s not likely to ever happen.

It will only happen when the federal money runs low and you are forced. The question is will Mize and Taylorsville remain K-6th, K-8th, K-9th

If travel is an issue and it appears that 4A, 3A, 2A have 23 or 24 schools in the south do they forgo the 5 team regions. Like having;

Region 1.     5

Region 2.     4

Region 3.     4

Region 4.     4

Region 5.     6

Region 6.     6

Region 7.     6

Region 8.     5

The smaller schools along I-20 need to step in say we stay South.
