Taylorsville Job

I hear that Hood has been told he will not be getting the job. So that leads me to believe it’s Jimbo or Fortenberry. Depending on who gets hired will let us know if the superintendent or the principal made the call.

Not that way in the 90's. Taylorsville and Mize had 1 board member. Raleigh had 3. I worked in district, that's how it was.

Most likely before that 1 majority minority district in each county and state took affect. Same law that brought about Bennie Thompsons district in Congress. The western half of Smith County in Beat 4 and Beat 3 population exploded. Burns box was moved from Beat 4 to Beat 5. Shady Grove was moved to from Beat 3 to Beat 4. Now the city of Mize entirely in Beat 1.  Smith County has changed. Population in Taylorsville is way down. Population in Mize is Way up. Basically they flip-flopped. Raleigh is decreased to some degree due to students leaving the county for Sylva Bay, East Rankin, and Simpson. Bienville National Forest Henderson the northern half of the county from growth. Unless Raleigh folks come back home after College or new Subdivisions built there will be little growth. Partly because the Supervisors haven't been interested in the last 40 years of bringing g industry to Raleigh. Neither has the town.

Certainly April 8th should be a doosy. My guess it will be at 9 am so few parents can show up and County office. So little hallway room. Might as well protest outside.

They usually come out after spring break depends on districts that have a hard time filling positions.

I think Hillman lines up his Principals first in like February or March then the teachers after spring break.

My point be he got fired last job for some stuff and he don't work in the county and ain't here all week but is a board member.  He need to go.  Can't have that stuff over your schools.  Hillman got him a job and he does what Hillman want now that typical Smith co and get part of that Taylorsville district and go with Hillman on votes. Who vote out Hillman last time he ran?  Taylorsville did that why he trying to kill it.

Smith co a good example why charter school need to happen.  You take that tax money they be stealing somewhere else they stop.

Hillman is appointed now by the board. As for Taylorsville zone that is decided by the Census and Supervisors with total population divided equally as possible by 5. So Taylorsville will never get the chance to vote him out. You better start rebuilding your population or number of students in all e schools. If not u get consolidation.

Taylorsville can get hillman out. All they have to do is elect board members that will vote him out. They have the power to elect whoever they want for beat 2 and beat 3.

This went from a job for a good coach with great tradition to am incompetent superintendent and a split board unless that superintendent wants something passed ots 4-1 otherwise 3-2.

Raleigh teachers have invited the parents regarding graduation. We will see if this is a blow up or just dust. Regarding Taylorsville coaching job just hire anyone other than Slimbo.

He didnt get fired from stringer, he quit.
