I guess Magee is finally interviewing. Palmer has some of the best looking athletes in the state, but football isn't a major area of concern. Clinton will likely promote from within. That is true. I would still think that with the talent pool some big coordinator or smaller school head coach would take a chance to win big and land a big time job. Best way if consolidation was to happen would be to build new school between the two that could handle the larger student population and allow for future growth. I agree on building a new school in between both. Years ago the new school at Raleigh was strategically located by the vo tech to have one county high school. It would be political suicide to do that until they began appointing superintendents. That burden falls on the board. I have been there is no such discussion. Super got vote out by Taylorsville and he buddies on the board hire him back. He been going after them since. Ran off all the teachers and coaches couple years ago. One board member got fired for he job at a Jasper co school and he work in like the delta or somewhere. That Smith Co for you it a mess in this county.
