I don't understand this move at all. They have a pretty tight knit thing going down there. They might hire within. They don't want to get away from their system.

Fully expect Hopson to have a hands on approach with coaching. Probably not the supplement but he’s a ball coach.

Buckley to Starkville is a real possibility. Hopson and him have ties. He was a successful high school coach so it could work.

I don’t know why schools keep the hiring process so secretive. It’s not like it’s the NFL or college where someone is going to out bid you for your coach. In many cases board approval is just formalities.

School Boards have no control over accountability ratings that come directly from MDE.

Hattiesburg is an A rated school .

It depends on what you are looking for. They are one of the better districts in the delta. Pay is Ok, school is always high rated. Football just doesn't have enough of the jimmy and joes to be competitive. They play hard and are great kids from what I know.

Things have been quiet in Meridian. Would they just hire someone off the staff that was there to attempt to have some continuity or are all the leaving for Petal as well?

This is probably why he left Meridian. That rebuild was going to take longer than he wanted and was going to require just too much time and energy. At Petal it's not hard to win the recruiting battle against Hattiesburg High and you split 50/50 with OG.

In my opinion they have one of the best AD's around. He will get the guy he wants. Boyles is such a professional I'm sure he told him of his plans already, so he was prepared.

Many have lost their homes and are not living there. I would assume they would go to school wherever they are living now.. Many students will probably go to Hollandale. It'll take a few years to clean up and rebuild that city.

South Delta sustained some damage but still don't expect the school to survive considering how many families have been displaced and probably will not rebuild there.

Highly Doubtful. If that's the case he just wants out of Scott Central.

With spring training being so close going with somebody that is already on staff is not a bad idea. The hiring process is soooo slow now it would be April before a coach could get board approved.

Pretty mind blowing so many openings still. I understand getting the hire right but some of these places have hurt themselves with this long waiting period.
