George Cty. has definitely improved these past few weeks, and have the weapons to make a game of it. Is Davis back, or will he be for the playoffs?

To be honest, I wouldn’t expect him not to play.  That’s not saying that he does, but following the timeline he should be ready to go I would think.  I reckon it would depend on if he gets cleared to play.

I think we might see Davis play some this Friday but I could be wrong. I do know when he comes back 💯 this team will be a different animal with the the way 4 and 5 have been toting the ball. I think everything is starting to come together at the right time for this team to make a run for another gold ball.

As an Ocean Springs fan, I’ll never admit that we took advantage of his absence in our win, but it had to play a part. Having him in the backfield along with the other RBs who have gotten playing time makes the Tide much better.

It is and I think we’ve figured some things out in regards to not having #6 in the backfield.  #4 & #5 have gotten better every week and when you throw a healthy #6 back into the fold it just makes the rushing attack even more potent.  I also think our fullback has done a great job and there hasn’t been any falloff in that position as well.  You know how much Calvin valued the fullback, so to have solid production out of the fullback just adds that other dynamic that makes the Maroon Tide offense so difficult to defend when it’s clicking on all 16 cylinders.  That means it’s running like a Marmon or a Dusenberg.

George Co has gotten significantly better on defense over the last year. They'll actually be able to stand in there and get stops against Picayune and they do have the playmakers to take advantage of Picayune's defense as well. Big thing is holding onto the football because you CANNOT give Picayune extra possessions. Should be a good one in Lucedale. Obviously with Hancock losing Friday to Goula it put Picayune in a situation where they can lock up the region with a win. GC could have if Hancock would've won (still can with a Goula loss to WH) but would more likely have to win Friday and next week to lock up the region title.

I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the last game between these two teams.

Picayune wins by 3 scores.  I seriously do not think GC has any real ability on defense to stop them.

And I seriously think you have no clue what you're talking about and have not watched GC play yet. GC cannot turn the ball over which has been their biggest issue all year and KO returns. Clean those two things up and it creates a more even game. Taking nothing away from Picayune at all but GC can get stops against them this year. Doesn't mean a shut out. It means they won't score every drive like the last couple years.

Picayune has really played sloppy football so far this year. Penalties and fumbles have plagued them thus far this season. That being said I truly believe their best football is still to come. When the lights get brighter and the weather gets cooler,  they will embrace the moment. In reality the playoffs start this weekend. Good luck to all.

I Picayune doesn't turm thr ball over and have a bunch of Penalties I think they we be fine.  Don't get me wrong George County has a really good team. I think our defense puts alot of pressure on Knight. If they don't it could be long nite.

the ball is often out of his hands so fast you cannot pressure him. have to prepare like we did 2nd gautier game last season.

I will say this though Region 4 is pretty much shaking out like we all thought it would.  What happens on Friday will pretty much all but determine the final seeding in Region 4 for the playoffs.

Other things to keep an eye out for in a couple of weeks:

Region 1:  The South Panola - Grenada game

Region 3:  The West Jones - Hattiesburg game.

In Region 2 as long as Warren Central holds serve,  they’ll be the region 2 district champs.
