FBdude Posted September 30, 2023 Share Posted September 30, 2023 Region 5 will be 1 Bay Springs 2 SC/Clarkdale winner 3 SC/Clarkdale loser 4 Lake and honestly with Lake and SC being a rivalry who knows what will happen in that game. They aren’t good enough though to make a lot of mistakes. Those will be the top 3 teams in region 8, and can finish in any order. Since the game with Raleigh, a game which we should have won, we have played very sloppily the last 2 weeks. I do not see that happening. Raleigh will not have much trouble at all with Puckett. Mize, Collins, and Heidelberg could all finish anywhere from 1-3 in the region. Mize is probably the best overall team, IMO, but we cannot keep making the mistakes we have been making the last couple weeks. Got to clean up the penalties and turnovers. We also play both collins and Heidelberg on the road. This is the biggest game of the year for us this week. Collins struggles with consistency, but they have some athletes and playmakers. No, you haven’t improved. You played two bad teams. Teams that were even worse than enterprise. I know you don’t understand how football actually works, but winning two games against two teams that are even more horrible than you are doesn’t mean you improved. One reason you always make yourself look so foolish is because you base all your conclusions by looking at final scores. You never actually try to figure out what football is actually like. You just look scores and think you got the whole picture figured out. Mize’s struggles with Newton had nothing to do with Newton. It has to do with Mize. We are turning the ball over way too much and committing too many penalties. That kills drives and leaves our defense on the field too much putting them in bad situations. We had over 500 yards of total offense against Newton. We physically manhandled Newton, even more so than we did enterprise. We lost two fumbles while trying to stretch the ball out over the goaline. At no point in that game did anybody from Mize or Newton think the outcome of the game was going to be any differently than it was.
