His footwork was extraordinary as was his poise in the pocket. He threw short passes really well too. It should have been featured more really .Where did ya'll have hin on ice at before last season ? It's like he came out of nowhere He was here thru Junior High. Went to PCS for a year and came back to Hattiesburg. His dad played at HHS in the 90s. I believe they only had 5 or 6 seniors on the team last year according to their roster on maxpreps. Now it all of those seniors started on both sides of the ball, then that would be a little bit bigger loss. I don’t know if they did or not though. They all played on defense as well, I just mentioned there best DL. Don't get me wrong they will be good, but the games I saw them play those seniors they lost were a big part of both sides of the ball. If I'm not mistaken every starter on the defensive line has a D1 offers with Allen leading the way. I coached one of those defensive linemen in youth football. He went to school at mize, got recruited and moved to Hattiesburg. He’s a beast. And a good kid too. I coached youth football for over a decade and there have only been 2 players that I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt would go D1 after high school and he was one of them. Well that will be tougher to recover from but I believe most everybody in 2A north loses more than Baldwyn does so I think they still are the favorites at least up north. I’m still curious what Northside has returning.
pancho
Northside basically has the most talent annually but the end result is usually determined by how focused the whole group is. I have seen them have twice the size and speed but get drummed by less talent and great scheme and execution.

We have quite a bit returning although we lost our top RB and QB, Carter was out most of the season so younger guys got to gain experience. Defense will be rugged and its next young man up on Offense with lots of talent that didn't get to play the past 2 years because of Duece Flowers and Devon Olive being seniors. Defensive and Offensive lines are intact. I think Charleston reloads as it always does.

But you lost all of your offensive production from the skill positions. And two of them were 3 year starters. It’s very hard to replace that kind of production. HammerDown74
Gulfport is playing Daphne AL on May 14th and Ocean Springs is playing Mary G Montgomery AL on May 7th. Last year Gulfport played Daphne at USM, so I assume they’ll play there again.

If I had to guess, Heidelberg will be preseason #1 just because they have Craft, Moore, and McKenzie coming back. But they lost a lot of starters from their team last year. Same with East Webster. They return a good QB, but they lose everyone around him on both sides of the ball. Baldwyn returns almost their entire squad. Heard Craft will be unable to play for Heidelberg next year as he will be 19 before the season. Supposedly his family has been trying to get him ready to get qualified to enter Jones College in the fall.

I am pretty sure he turned 18 in November. Matter of fact, I know he turned 18 in November. So that rumor is not true. It may be another player, but not Craft.
