Ryan Finch has stepped down as the head football coach of Saltillo according to Blake Levine.

I found this on the Leake School Board Facebook page from January. Leake Central and Leake County are consolidating into Leake Central beginning next school year (2026-2027). The Gators will be in Region 2-5A. Kenneth Whitfield will be the head football coach. Whitfield is the current head coach at Leake County. Was reported by Brandon Shields on X(twitter)

Yes that is what I am hearing. I believe the plans are to move Leake Couty Jr. High and High School to Leake Central and leave Leake County Elementary alone.

Hearing that they are going to combine Leake Central and Leake County together. Don't know when but heard from someone who works for the school district that it is going to happen.

Marshall Academy and their head football coach have been punished for their actions after their lack of play this past Friday -Fined $7,500 which will be paid to Washington School -No home playoff games for 2025 season -Coach Bunio suspended for the rest of season. Can’t coach any MAIS Sport without showing cause as to why the suspension should be lifted. Fined $1,000 dollars.

Leake Central Gators claim the 5-4A District Title Friday night with a 25-22 win over Newton County. Its their first ever District Title in school history. They went undefeated in District play.
