Our school family is grieving the loss of one of our own Freshman students, Mason Moore. His presence will be deeply missed by classmates, teachers, and staff. Leake Central and Leake County are consolidating into Leake Central beginning next school year (2026-2027). The Gators will be in Region 2-5A. Kenneth Whitfield will be the head football coach. Whitfield is the current head coach at Leake County. Was reported by Brandon Shields on X(twitter)

Yes that is what I am hearing. I believe the plans are to move Leake Couty Jr. High and High School to Leake Central and leave Leake County Elementary alone.

Hearing that they are going to combine Leake Central and Leake County together. Don't know when but heard from someone who works for the school district that it is going to happen.
