Merlin Posted March 2 Share Posted March 2 (edited) Like Maroontide was asking, I too think Wayne should just call people and see if interested and offer who ever is. At this point no one will likely want to deal with the school, due to all the buffoonery, till there is a new principle and Superintendent in place. So you can forget going through the proper interview process from here on out. Especially with this level of incompetence coming from those who are trying to call the shots. Most coaches who have jobs lined up for next year if they want them (like current head coaches and most assistants) will refuse this job offer outright right now. You’re only options may be lampley and Corey reynolds (who as I understand will not have a contract with jones county schools after June so he will be jobless). Call one, now, offer money and get it done. In a year or two after new principle and sup in place let them decide if farther changes are needed. They can bring whatever name they want to up for vote it's not getting through because there are two sides dug in now. Someone is going to have to break ranks for something to happen. Come July 1 will either of those 2 be in place to put forth anyone may become the 20 dollar question. Wayne County is in a lot of penny mess right now. ManCoverage Posted March 4 Share Posted March 4 One thing I really don't think people are discussing is assistants. WC is already not just a desirable place to live unless you are already there. If they screw this up and don't hire a Head guy soon then they will not be able to get any assistants to come and on top of that if you don't get the right head guy, your not going to get quality assistants anyway. slicklizard Posted March 4 Author Share Posted March 4 I am not going to pump sunshine and say it's a machine right now, The person responsible for it doesn't have the control he's had for the last , what seven, years. He did a lot of damage and ran the whole operation in the deep mud. We are out of the mud and headed back up the hill to dry ground and for the first time in a long time I feel hopeful.
