Tupelo defense got expose last night their secondary is weak and Gulfport going to expose that and shut Bobo and Hill down and Gulfport got a really fast RB run 4.3 and he a Sr and he a State committed

I like Gulfport as well. Coach Pennock will have them ready.

Heidelberg and West Point are the obvious picks. Hattiesburg is another one I'm personally confident in, regardless of their past. Columbia has been tough all year and I'm going with them as well. Hopeful that Raleigh can finish strong also. I have no clue about the 1A game so won't even offer a guess there.

you mean when the Tupelo gave up zero to oxford in the 2nd half? Is the gulfport Qb as good as Kiffin is with ball placement? Oxford wasn't as strong a running team as I assumed though.

Kosciusko gonna upset Columbia, East Webster will put up a lot of fight against Heidelberg, Tupelo going to lose to Gulfport

It depends on how East Webster plays Heidelberg. If any team tries to come out and match Heidelberg athlete for athlete, you are going to get run off the field very quickly. They will jump out to a monster lead in the first half and you will be stuck having to throw the ball the rest of the game and you will not accomplish anything doing that against them. The one thing you can do is run the ball against their defense if you have a physical o-line. You absolutely have to slow the game down and control the clock. If EW does not try to do that, they are going to get destroyed. They are not going to keep Heidelberg from scoring, and you cannot try to match them score for score. It’s not possible. You have to keep their offense on the sideline, and you have to hope to generate some turnovers. Mize pretty much dominated time of possession and still gave up 46 points. We did run the ball effectively at them with the option. We had over 200 yards rushing if I had to guess. They could not stop it consistently enough to keep us from getting first downs, but EW doesn’t run that style of offense so I don’t really know what they can do to be honest.

I just noticed Heidelberg has entered their stats from the game Friday night and they have Chase Craft going 8-12 passing for 170 something yards. I know for a fact that is not accurate. He was more like 8-18 maybe. The yardage could be accurate because they scored on a 70 something yard pass on their first possession. But the completion percentage is not accurate. Makes me question all of their stats now.

Nobody in 2A is going to beat Heidelberg this year or next they are like a 6A or 7A team playing in 2A I do agree they will fall off after next year.

I don’t believe they will be quite as good next season as they were this season. Still very good, but not quite like this year. They return a lot of offensive production but they graduate several on defense after this year. Offensively they should still be very explosive.

- Gulfport beats Tupelo handily!

34-14 Gulfport

- Hattiesburg chokes again. Although they make this years game competitive.
Warren Central 27-20

- West Point names the score.
#TooMuchPoint 35 -7

- Kosciusko proves what I’ve been saying all year. They are the best team in 4A.
KO 28-13

- Raleigh and Noxubee County play the most competitive game of the weekend.
Raleigh 21-20

- Heidelberg does what they do. Congrats to EW on 2nd place. Should have had a PowerPoint system and you could have thrown a game or two to win the consolation prize.
Heidelberg 46-14

- Calhoun City rolls.
Calhoun City 32 -12
