As Coach Marcus Boyles says it’s more about the Jimmy’s and Joe’s than the X’s and O’s. They have a splash coach with a proven track record but do they have those Jimmy’s and Joe’s?

Interesting point.  I mean it’s a great hire and there’s no question about that.  But there’s an old saying out there, “The more things change, the more they stay the same.”  Hopefully that saying won’t apply here.

Yes I definitely didn’t mean any disrespect to anyone at Pass Christian I wish them nothing but the best. I wonder how big of Staff turnover he will bring in.

I certainly don’t think you did, but Pass Christian is Pass Christian and they’ve never really been a threat.  Not atrociously bad, but not juggernaut great either.  Maybe the Stockstill hire can get them into some uncharted deep November territory because you certainly don’t want a coach of that caliber to willingly take unnecessary losses.  If the buy-in for Pass Christian is at 130%, then I think the potential is there for them to make some noise because great coaches have the ability to do a whole lot more with a whole lot less.  I certainly hope this will be the case.

Stockstill is a phenomenal coach and he will do a great job down there. I am not sure what it will equate into wins and losses but they will be better coach, better prepared and more competitive than they have been in years.

Tough place to win. Seven winning seasons and one playoff win since the playoffs began. 41 or 42 years, I think?

So your saying that Stockstill is a better coach than Pennock and Carmody? More like apples and apples in my opinion.  I think all 3 are good coaches.

I am. I think he has been a head coach longer. I think he has more experience than those 2! He has a better resume than those 2 and won't be looking for the next big job like maybe the others have. He will try and stay there and build the program. Now I am not saying it will work or will equate into a state championships, but I do believe they will be a better program in a few years than they have been the last few years, but again that is just my opinion. I could be wrong! It is not a knock on the other two I just think it is a different direction than where it was headed with the others.

I'll have to see a job like Biloxi open and the coach not move before I believe that coaches don't see Pass as a stepping stone job.  It will be great to see someone settle into that position and develop that program.  There is more talent there now than there has been in a number of years.
