I can understand the HC not being in a class but instead being in an administrative role so they can help deal with situations and monitor the students.

That's roll of the AD. If head coach is AD and needs a class period to handle AD business then one less class to teach.

I was more or less responding to the other guy about his argument that coaches should teach.  In a perfect world you would love to have a HCs presence in the halls at all times of the day.  I understand the role of an AD.

They would have to go through the interview process and spell out their vision just like a coach with a degree.  If a candidate without a degree passes the interview process and impresses the folks who want to hire him, then I don't see anything wrong with it.  He certainly wouldn't have the same pay as a coach with a degree, but maybe you can get someone who just genuinely loves to coach and has a greater passion for it.

They better have a great amount of passion, because the coaching stipend without the teaching or admin pay would put the coach well below the poverty line.

What would that offense be? Serious question

Something that allows him to throw the football.  Whether that’s from under center or behind center (preferably from behind center).  His arm skills need to be utilized and when things break down that extra separation from being behind center will allow him to use his feet.  To put it bluntly, PRC doesn’t have the athletes to run a Wing-T offense like it needs to be run so they’ve got to do something different so that they’ll have a sporting chance at success this fall.  With a new coach hopefully they can start the upward climb.

Does PRC have the cats to run spread?

Well I think the spread will buy them some time because if they try to run the Wing-T, they’ll be ripe for the taking.  It’s probably going to be difficult for them with whatever they try to run, but with the spread they can elude the defense a little bit better if their offensive line can hold up for a few seconds.

Will the “powers that be” tell Mandi Mitchell who to hire, or will she make the hire of her own accord?  Since she is the newly minted AD, I wonder how much input she will be relying on externally as well as internally.  The posting though could very well be a formality to meet the legal qualifications.

I have no idea what the point of this rhyming medieval junk is for, but whoever gets this job will certainly have his work cut out for him.  If I was PRC, I would do everything I could to make Brian Ford say no.  If they remotely want to have a chance at success I think it would be through him.

What does PRC have to offer as a football program, school, and school district?

They have a good school and school district there.  They are also very competitive in baseball and basketball; however, football has been a thorn in the flesh for them.  With the right coach things can turn around there.

I am hearing a coaching legend is possibly looking to come out of retirement and PRC has been in contact with him about the position. Could be nothing more than a little smoke but my source seems to think its possible.

A coaching legend from where?  If I'm channeling your inner thoughts on this, boy oh boy.
