The most Ole Miss thing happened to us this year. When Golding came, I’m sure like you heard, he was a bum. That dude has us as one of the top defenses and a place for a defensive player to come. Now we can’t seem to strike out in the portal when it comes to defensive guys. Surprisingly it was our offense that let us down this year and that was the last thing I worried about coming into the season. A lot of mirror finger pointing needs to happen this offseason on that side of coaching.

Yeah I couldn't agree more. I will say that when you have Pegues, Ivey, Nolen, Umanmielen, Perkins, Amos, Paul and Dottery on defense a lot of coaches would look spectacular. I'm glad we have Golding, though.

Now, as for that offense, it needs to find it's groove again by next near because I have to think our defense will take at least a small step back if not a sizeable one. Better score more points. And like somebody else said, our next group of backs better find out what Bentley did and don't do that. Their language was a little edgier.

Let’s not forget Pegues was an Auburn TE. You can go back and see Ivey, Nolen, Umanmielien, Amos, and Dottery old fans laughed that we took them because of their lack of stats. Also Perkins is homegrown by Golding.

My prediction is offenses are going to perform poorly in the years ahead while defenses will dominate more and more. Why? It is simple. It takes much longer for an offense to develop in football, especially along the offensive line. Also, a QB and WR/RB’s take time to gel. With the roster turnover we see today, it is easy to see that offenses are going to suffer. Defense OTOH, does not take nearly as long to come together and play well. And as Ole Miss did, when you can attract some high level talent on that side of the LOS with some good coaching, you can put together a defense like they had this year.

Only guy that we’ve got from them that played a meaningful amount of games this year was Luke Hasz. He put up 77 and a TD against us so I liked what I saw. Had 2 TD’s against State. He’s one of the best returning TE’s in the SEC next year by scouts. Braxton is a former Freshman ALL SEC DB but only played against OK St. He’ll still have three years of eligibility. Kutas was suppose to be their best run blocker going into the season but didn’t play until the last few weeks because of injury. He played just the amount of games to keep his redshirt with Arkansas thinking they were going to keep him.

99.9% of Arkansas fans currently hate Braxton and Kutas saying they sat out this year to get a redshirt year and transfer. They really hate Kutas because he once said Ole Miss was his biggest rival with him growing up hating them. Apparently the Grove Collective changed that feeling which Tyson/Walmart wouldn’t match.
