To my knowledge SSC is the only one that's played for a championship back when Farve was qb. As far as I know those schools have been MHSAA over 50 years. Cathedral, St Joe, and Greenville St Joe left when the 20 mile radius was put in place. Partly because Cathedral and Greenville St Joe couldn't get catholic kids from across the river. TCPS and PCS are the only 2 that have since that have joined.

MHSAA tried to let play up but it got voted down by the council. Schools like St Stanislaus and OLA have a factor figured in because of being a parochial school. The rest have a 20 mile radius imposed upon them. They can't have kids living outside the radius to attend school.

If Poplarville wins Friday they take of Forest on the road in a tight one. Wilk they get past McComb i will say no.

Limit MHSAA vs MAIS to one game give points for the win. JDC played MRA.

All they had to do was move 1 school up in each class.

More than 1 in 4A, then 1 each in 3A to 1A. Something like 11 state championships in 4 classes. They might as well merge with MHSAA. Then easily 8 classes and minimum 6 schools per region.

I was told Thursday night by a Hartfield parent that Hartfield will be seeded 2nd and Prep 3rd based on points after Prep throttled Hartfield. He said their going back to the old system in 2026. They simply attempted to please the Jackson area schools after PCS left.
