I have never not been organized and efficient with handing out equipment. It takes me less than a hour to get the 7th graders dressed, but there is a lot more to it than saying hey here is a helmet and here is some shoulder pads go play. You are liable if everything doesn't fit perfectly.

You have your opinion I have mine, but I have seen Coach Murphy coach 7th grade on the field at Lafayette and he was National Coach of the Year. A guy who has dedicated his life to coaching Jr high football. I wouldn't call a guy like that lazy.

Your job is to get them ready for high school ball. When the LT blocks the wrong guy for the 3rd time in a row you fix it. They are kids they will make mistakes. It has nothing to do with getting the play in and everything to do with coaching the kids. You aren't scouting the other team so when you get a bear, odd, even, over, under, 4s, 2s, 5s, 3s or 1s you have to talk to those kids about those situations during the game. A lot of high schools are getting film on the sideline so they can fix those issues. You don't get that film on the sidelines of Junior high games. You have to talk to your QB about reads. It is called Coaching. Anyone can run a play in.

You literally have no clue how smaller programs work. Apply for a job at one of those programs and then you tell me about those shortcuts.

Most coaches who get on the field are there to teach the kid what they are doing wrong. They are learning the high school system. A lot of places will also film the games and watch it with the kids.

Also do you even know how most JH system work or how a lot of smaller schools have coaches running double duty. There are some lazy coaches out there but if you are coaching 7th, 8th, JV, as well as varsity I promise you lazy isn't the word you are looking for. Those guys are never at home during the season, plus they probably coach a spring sport as well.

Don't get me started on the joke that is youth football in many counties. It would be a full dissertation.

After beating Grenada, I don't see how they wont be the favorite to win it all. I could be wrong, but I think Grenada will have a chance to play for North Half. Saint Stanislaus has had a good start to the season. They could easily be undefeated going into the playoffs.
