Charleston, Union and Calhoun have all been very good this year. I think Charleston has the edge but that is murderers row.

I don't have an opinion on their HC, however only 1 person has more wins than him since 1982. Since 1983 they have only won 4 playoff games and have played in only 17. Bobby Hall didn't have kind words when he left. They apparently have really nice things but football isn't a priority.

My point is every school in the state would take that consistency.

This whole West Point discussion is ridiculous. They have played in every state championship game since 2016 and that is still a very distinct possibility.

2A is nuts. There are probably 6 or 7 teams who could win it all.

I would argue that 5a is now the most competitive. I think any of these could come out of the North, Clarksdale, Holmes, Cleveland, West Point, Pontotoc, and Lafayette. Could Provine be competitive in the south, Laurel, Wayne County, Gautier, Florence. The pre season favorites haven't been very consistently so I think everything is wide open.

Hard for me to belive SM gets on the right track. They have gotten crushed by everyone except HC

They can easily make the playoffs. St. Martin is really really bad. So the 3 or 4 should be between Biloxi, Harrison Central, or D'Iberville. They haven't played an easy schedule either. Meridian, Hattiesburg, and Pascagoula are all more talented than them. And they had a good win over George County.

I thought 4a north would be somewhat competitive this year and then Louisville destroyed Houston.

In their defense. Mooreville and Hatley both would have lost those games in the past, so they are winning the games they should win.
