It's 2023 (soon to be 2024). Football has been around for a long, long time. Are they just now getting an e-mail address with the interwebs to go along with it? Have they been using a fax machine and a Ron Polk typewriter this whole time or what?

Why would Biloxi do that? They don't care about football there, so why would they want to waste their time with a competent, innovative, championship winning head football coach? It's no different than when Breland went to South Jones. If Biloxi is open all they need is a run-of-the-mill coach to come in.

The article on PRCC's athletics page said that David Boykin would have total control of the offense and that was the words out of his mouth and not Seth's. I think this guy is coming in to take control of that side of the football. As long as David Boykin is CEO of the offense then it can work out for Seth, but Seth is going to have to let it go and get the offense off of his plate.

Please, I don't need any accolades LOL!

@RUNNINGMAN67Here's your chance LOL!

GJ Kinne is just so dang young. He definitely has the potential to be a great head coach, but I feel like State needs someone with a few more years underneath him. Chadwell and Lashlee kind of fit the mold that you want, but I certainly wouldn't rule them off the table either based on asking price.

Looks like a solid hire. Hopefully he'll stick like syrup on a pancake and maybe Seth can turn it around by giving this guy full autonomy on the offense.

Don Merlinz addressed the hire. Apparently he hasn’t been contacted yet by the administration, but he kind of left the door open. Maybe he has and that was just coachspeak. The fact that he’s 7 wins away from being the all time winningest head coach in Mississippi State History has definitely got to nag on him some. (You would think).

I'm right there with you, but you know how it's gonna go LOL!

Who’s the coach for Belhaven? Does Selmon need to give him a call? LOL

I don't think you'll get a repeat of that 2-0 ballgame. West Jones has learned from that and I think you'll see them score touchdowns in this game. This game should be more lopsided.

Where there's smoke, there's something else (no pun intended for Liberty's mascot).

I saw the screenshot of it and I don't think it's fake. It could be, but that location thing seems to get it right most of the time.

It's just semantics there Vott. We know what Slick meant LOL

Pay the dang buyout and get him to Starkville. State has money to work with, so settling shouldn't be on the table. Get the coach you want with the bells and whistles that you want. The Chadwell hire for Selmon will be at the minimum a 3 run shot and if the bases are loaded, then it's a grand slam hire. Selmon's not gonna lose by making a Chadwell hire and I don't foresee that backfiring on him.

I don't think Chadwell would be an experiment. He's an experienced head football coach. Selmon needs to make him say no.

I don’t know what Archer did to offend you, but he knows his stuff. Don’t flame out too quickly.

Who the heck is that? LOL! Just so long as he doesn't come in asking for ring sizes.

That 50 piece was soggier than day old original recipe LOL!

Playoffs are the time of year where you have to look ahead (be aware of what's out there) without looking ahead. That may be tough to compartmentalize, but that's just the nature of the beast.

Pascagoula is a much better team than Forest Hill. With that being said, Picayune will need to start clean and fast. The sluggish start that we had last week won't cut it a couple of weeks. Picayune certainly doesn't need to look ahead, but we know where we will have to go in a couple of weeks once we get past Goula. Ultimately though we really need to come out of Friday night healthy.

It took a monsoon to wake us up and we're not as banged up this go round. Picayune just needs to take care of business Friday night.

I honestly have no idea how it's going to go. Hopefully the guy that Selmon gets can be a shot in the arm and turn things around quickly.

https://telegra.ph/Stoops-to-Mississippi-State-Picking-Up-Steam-11-13 Don't know if there's any merit behind this or not.

That might be an understatement.
