A 9 game season and you don't score your first touchdown until the 4th game. The article said they missed 3 field goals last night against Hinds. The River was up 21-7 at halftime and managed to lose 24-21 in OT. Why do you take your foot off the gas pedal? I don't even know if they'll win a game this year. I'll be pleasantly surprised if they do.

I know. My dad played for Jack Carlisle at Murrah and he said that’s what they called it. It was Prep from the beginning, but it had that nickname.

It'll definitely be a great ballgame for sure. I just hope Picayune gets healthy by the time the playoffs start. If we don't, we might be a quick out. I certainly don't want it to be that way, but we've got to start playing better though.

And their two losses were by a total of 5 points combined. Not too shabby if you ask me.

@slicklizardI know you've had bigger fish to fry so to speak, not that you wanted that, but you had to do what you had to do. District play is about to crank up, so hopefully things can get back to a more normal, normal. There may not be any clarity in 5A for a while and it could be a smokescreen all the way up to the last week of the regular season. This Friday is an off Friday for us, so my options are open but I still want to go catch a game somewhere. There's the battle of the cupcake eaters down the road from the house and then there's Poplarville vs. Moss Point up there in the county seat.

That's a great question there. It might be more beneficial if State would go 4 wide when they are in the shotgun. I think that would allow Creed, Zavion, Tulu, and JRob all on the field at the same time. Also, if State didn't completely abandon the Air-Raid then why can't we pass block like we did under Leach? I understand there's a difference between run blocking and pass blocking, but if there's a right way to pass block I think Leach knew what to do in that department.

Enterprise may win this game, but here's the butt: Brian Ford will have his team ready to play. They may be a work in progress, but I fully believe they will play hard and put their best foot (not butt) forward.

That could be a trap game, but I think Terry might actually be more than halfway decent so it may not be a trap game after all. They are definitely a lock for the playoffs though.

I would like to think that West Jones would be favored in this one, but something is telling me it's going to be a shot in the dark. I still think West Jones eeks out a win, but this will definitely be a real test for them. If they manage to get separation in this game and win by a comfortable margin then Hattiesburg needs to be on high alert.

@Davidcongrats to your Greyhounds tonight. We certainly didn’t help ourselves with the turnovers and self inflicted penalties, but y’all played a consistent ballgame and got rewarded with the win. Hopefully the Tide can get some rest and clean things up because we’ve got to go to Pascagoula in two weeks.
