I certainly didn’t plan it this way, but with Picayune being off Friday night it allowed us to go catch a different ballgame. Being there at Poplarville Friday night I didn’t realize it was win #100 until the PA announcer made it known. That’s a difficult feat to accomplish and Coach Beech is just 9 wins away from being the all time winningest coach at Poplarville. I said all of that to say congrats to any coach who has accomplished this feat and to any coach who is soon to cross the 100 win mark. That type of effort shouldn’t go unnoticed, but I’m afraid that it does to an extent.

And Picayune needs to clean up the fumbles and the penalties. Oh and our secondary needs to get waaaay better. Hopefully we can get healthy enough to check off those boxes.

The North is a dang smokescreen. Hopefully we’ll get some clarity on the North once we get into the latter meat of district play. Until then it’s anybody’s guess.

Nope and they were just a fluke loss away from making the playoffs last year. What a difference a year makes.

For State, losing to Bama is like breathing. It’s an uncontrollable regular bodily function.

Really? I haven’t noticed. Tonight is how State normally plays against Bama.

If Arnett wants a top notch atmosphere for a top notch opponent in Alabama and he gets the top notch atmosphere, the fans ultimately will have done their part. How does he counter that and do his part? How does he change the song and the tune up to something different?

I'll just go ahead and put this out there bluntly: The River wasn't this bad when Ted Egger was coaching them (the coach before Seth). I know they want to fix things there, but you've got to have some talent and some team chemistry. This thing can't be a yo-yo because frankly that's unacceptable. There's a way to establish winning consistency at the JUCO level, but for some reason or another it's just not happening there.
