@BrickCitywhere you at? I’m sure you can provide some insights on Madison Central and what you think could happen in this matchup.

No problem. I was just curious about that. The old Vaiden High School building is still there, but it’s been closed and consolidated for a long time. -

How many Vaiden kids go to J.Z. George? That's a good drive for those folks. -
My how things have changed. I honestly thought that was kind of cool. Maybe Marcus can get it back to that.
-
I guess we gotta go spoil their homecoming LOL! I don't think we'll be the victim. We've just got to treat it like any other game.
-
How 'bout them Maroon Tide Road Warriors!!!
-
Dang. We only get 4 home games the entire season LOL!
-
Do Meridian fans still sit on both sides of the stadium when there's a home football game? I remember it was like that when we played Meridian in 2004.
-
I was just thinking that if that thing got full and with todays drones with cameras, you could get some really nice aerial photography of it being full. It would actually make some good photographs.
-
Interesting line of thought there, but why would it need to only be 1A-3A? At Southern Miss the seating is limited to the two lower sides which is probably half capacity at best so it’s probably equivalent roughly to Meridian’s capacity. You don’t play all the games on one day, so in theory you could get all 7 classifications through the gates at Meridian. The only logistic you would need to work out would be parking ingress and egress. Parking will probably overlap some between games because you might be at the tail end of a ballgame waiting on yours to occur. Also, Meridian might would want to convert the practice field adjacent to the Stadium to a parking lot.
-
If an opponent is getting to the third level quite a bit, they are moving the football down the field and getting great yardage and probably scoring. In other words that’s a troubling stat.
-
@Bulldogs4when was the last time there was a capacity crowd of 14K at The Ray? I’m sure that’s a sight to behold when it does happen.
-
In PRC’s case you can be 1-8. The one win would need to be against a 3-6A district opponent and that opponent would need to go 0-4 in district play. I tend to think that Meridian takes care of business against Laurel. It’s a shame there was a break in this rivalry because it has that same historical significance as The Little Brown Jug.
-
Gulfport should be better competition and I think they will be. It’s just not gonna go their way.
-
Good deal. That’s always good news. I’ll take a +7 any day of the week. Picayune just needs to go down there, take care of business and stay humble and hungry.
-
In order for Laurel to turn things around they are going to have to be solely dependent upon external factors in which they have no control over. Who honestly would have thought that it would come down to this? It’s really a bad place to be.
-
Maybe I was giving them a chance at that one but I guess the snowball effect takes precedence. But you are absolutely correct there. The best thing that can happen to Laurel right now is for them to crash into a tree and stop the momentum.

Laurel is staring 0-5 right in the face.

I had to do a double take. This initially looked like something else LOL!

The script State is a baseball logo just like the M over S. Why did it need to carry over into the other sports? It certainly isn't ugly, but it's kinda in the same category as the Mississippi State banner logo to me. I realize they've axed that logo, but the way I feel about that one is how I feel about the script State. I guess it doesn't really do anything for me. Like I don't want to go out and buy merchandise with that logo on it if that makes sense. When I went to Campus Book Mart and The Lodge a few weeks ago, I wanted everything that had the Interlocking MSU on it. I had to restrain myself LOL!
-
I will say this though. If State wants a surefire way of beating LSU this weekend they might as well bite the bullet and bust out the interlock. I mean it ain't got to be common knowledge or anything like that. Like the old slogan back when we had Nike jerseys, "JUST DO IT".
-
I just hope we don't see another offensive playcalling performance like we saw on Saturday. I don't mind losing. Heck, being a State fan I've endured a good bit of it LOL! I just hope that the coaches learn from their mistakes and are able to call a better game against LSU. I think the good thing is that Barbay isn't oblivious to his mistakes and knows how to make the necessary corrections (at least I hope so).
-
Good point there. The fumbles and the penalties need to be cleaned up. Maybe we can put some stick-um on #6's hands LOL! Just kidding, but the fumbles are definitely uncharacteristic for sure.
-
During the press conference with Barbay he seemed to have acknowledged the play calling against Arizona and hopefully we will get to see some of that cleaned up. I certainly don't feel comfortable projecting a State win by any means, but there's a path there for them to win. They've just got to have some offensive balance and also outstanding secondary play.
-
Clarkdale also has a sick looking logo, so I mean that's at least worth 3 points LOL!
