  1. And I think Coach Brannon will have his boys ready to play.
  2. @Dawg83are you going to start a week 3 thread or do we just need to write this week off? LOL!
  3. Great post there Bulldogs4 and I agree completely there. Enterprise has certainly dominated the series here, but I think Clarkdale has a little bit more to prove and I think they'll want it more.
  4. I was looking at that Dub since you replied and yes they’ve definitely had recent postseason success. Charleston kind of parallels Poplarville in a way where they had a string of state runner ups.
  5. Clarksdale is 13-5-1 all time against Charleston. You beat Clarksdale this year, so congrats on that victory. So how has Charleston routinely outperformed Clarksdale? I realize the head-to-head matchups have been scant over the years so what are you using to determine the outperformance of Charleston over Clarksdale?
  6. So is Region 2-2A the only region that gets 100% participation in the playoffs?
  7. It's quite possible for them to give Picayune some problems, but I guess we'll find out on Friday. If Picayune has worked on correcting the secondary mistakes from the Catholic game, I don't see any glaring concerns. But if Picayune still has those issues, then things could get very interesting. It's definitely a tough stretch for Gulfport, but with it being a non-district game you'll want it to be of benefit at the end of the regular season if you're a Gulfport fan.
  8. If it was at DI Patrick they probably would have, but having to start the season with three consecutive rivalry games with no warm-up games is definitely a tough row to hoe.
  9. Hattiesburg has had 3 consecutive rivalry games. It was going to be a mixed bag at best. Don't beat yourself up over it Deonte because Hattiesburg is going to be just fine. Things start to settle down this week and I think you'll be able to see some of that relief on the football field beginning this week.
  10. I can kind of see how you would put Picayune vs. Gulfport as a top 10 best of week 4 matchup game. It definitely has all of the visuals for it to be so, but for us it's just like an annual opponent kind of deal. It just doesn't seem like this grand marquee matchup, but then again I'm looking at it from a local perspective as well.
  11. Columbia is a great football team. I fully expected them to run circles around Petal and they did so. Petal losing to Columbia wasn't an unexpected thing there, so to say that Petal underperformed by losing to a better football team is kind of a stretch. Now if Petal loses to a team they are supposed to beat like a drum, then yes they will have underperformed.
  12. That’s right, you had to take I-55. That doesn’t get you to The Yune.
  13. Oooh…Columbia @ Jefferson Davis County. I’m jealous for whoever gets to see this one. It’s a shame somebody’s gotta lose this game.
  14. Kudos to the other two who selected choice A as well.
  15. Dang, I was right with selecting choice A.
  16. If State just beat a Power 5 PAC 12 team, they can beat an SEC team. There were a ton of problems with this game, but you could tell Barbay needed to let Will do his thing sooner rather than later. Arnett needs to have a powwow with Barbay.
  17. They won’t be playing the Maroons till November. We’ll find out what they’re made of.
  18. Impressive comeback by OM. It’ll be a good win for them down the road and now of course.
  19. Is it the SOS that has you concerned or is it something else?
  20. Tulane is rolling. Up 17-7. Go Green Wave! That TD pass was some kind of pretty.
  21. Great question, but does Hancock pose a legitimate threat? They made the 6A playoffs last year for the first time in a very long time. It’s been nearly 20 years since we last played them. They probably will make the playoffs again this year, but what happens when they run into Hattiesburg and West Jones? Hancock just has a bunch of walls out there LOL.
  22. I know it’s early, but with it being tied 7-7 Ole Miss could be in for a war. Tulane seems fired up along with their fanbase.
  23. Ok gotcha. Now that makes sense. Back in the dark ages when the Clarion Liar was a decent newspaper, when you would get it delivered to your driveway like before 6:00 AM in Picayune, MS and it came all the way from Jackson, they had the Super 10 and Little 10 polls in the Sports section.
  24. Glad you caught that. I was under the impression that the Little 10 was 1A-3A and the Super 10 was 4A-7A.
  25. McComb’s on deck for the top 10 with their impressive win over Mendenhall. Why does 1-2 Brandon look so goofy in the top 10? I think it’s one of those brain tricks LOL
