i dont want to bicker but incorrect. You got your FG off a fumble recovery on our side of the field. We held 3 downs and you kicked a fg. both teams were sloppy for sure. The stats will show who moved the ball more with their offense but it is irrelevant now. good game.

Stone winning caught me off guard. every year teams step up when it is crunch time and they did it tonight.

I thought that would be the case going into the game. But we stopped ourselves a lot tonight. I feel like Laurel's defense played us tougher, but WJ defense did play well. They gave great effort.

I dont want to hear about west jones turnovers. Picayune turnovers gave WJ all but their first score. Picayune defense was exceptional tonight. it's silly to say wj would have won without the turnovers when it's the only reason they were in the game to begin with. turnovers go both ways. Besides you guys complaining about the playcalling are gonna get taken to the wood shed by Bubbaj our self-appointed forum censor who doesn't allow talk that questions the coaches' play calling.

You have no idea what we have questioned up to this point. And nobody on here is calling for Cody's head. So don't make crap up. I won't speak for all of us but I think he has done a phenomenal job. Still, we fans are saying what we saw and what we expect could happen this week based on what we saw. if you dont like it you can go pound sand. all of the Picayune fans on here are supportive of the staff and the players. I have a feeling you were not at the game and didn't see it. I btw drove 10 hours to see that game. Find it, watch it, and educate yourself. if you did see it or don't think we would have performed better had we opened up the offense then you are an idiot. #4 had one carry (a 1st down on a reverse). If that means nothing to you then you dont know our team. you are correct that nobody on here knows what the coaching staff was seeing and why they were calling what they did. obviously they know more about what is going on both with the team, the players, and on the field during the game than we do. a lot of times they run the same play over and over until they can get the defense to adjust the way they want them to for another play. we get that. they also repeat plays that we are not executing properly until we do it right. However, when you are executing but still getting beat then you adapt or you get the same results. period. we see what we see and say we we want about it.That's not changing. and if you don't like it thats too bad for you. while you are at it go watch the state championship game from 2019 and the playoff loss in 2020. if you don't learn from history you are damned to repeat it. If you want to grandstand as some kind of loyal to the staff guy that's on you but that's a stupid post you just made.

i dont care at all about blowouts. they are boring anyway. but i do care about good execution and smart play calling. I will take a 1 point win with both of those accomplished any day of the week.

absolutely. to maroontide06’s point about adjustments: laurel watched what gautier did w those quick passes behind our lbs and tried that. but we had adjusted in practice and it showed. i know 29 dropped back and got 2 picks. and the lbs knocked down quite a few. dropped back when needed but still got pressure. that plus we had a numbskull official the 1st with no idea what pi is.

i believe you. no offense intended ive just been hearing a lot of that stuff for years. that and “its not the kid, its the system”. ( i believe i read that here today about John Peterson.) we can do better than discredit one kid for another when our guy is not picked.

well life aint all bad then.

Laurels def was very good. ours was lights out. that said, we have no chance of beating wj if we run the same failing plays over and over. you have to be able to adapt. we just acted like it was execution. it wasnt. it was laurel. and guess what wj will shut it down too if we refuse to be aggressive. like i said our def was great. im almost embarassed we won.

there is plenty of parking, slick. home side is closest to parking lot. facing stands from parking the ticket booth is just to the right of home stand. i usually park in lot to the right of the ticket booth. you can exit that way by thr baseball field and avoid a lot of traffic after the game. its a nice facilty.

i would be interested if this went beyond just the game with WC.

i agree. they can say what they want about it, but i won't be convinced it was not done for an advantage.
