sounds like Jackson needs to consolidate down to 3 large high schools and build new stadium for each3 points

No I blame it all on Heidelberg. That was only place where it happened on school property.2 points

Agreed in the last 2-3 minutes of the game Lanier broke runs of 99 and 40 yards pretty much right up the middle. Lanier’s defense looked pretty good in the second half after giving up 22 in the first half2 points

Not sure what you mean but atleast OGs talent stays in OG to win games and they don’t have to reach out to East Marion, South Jones, Taylorsville, poplarville, Richton to get players to win some games. Maybe try doing it with the players they have. But again that would not be Petal/Boyles tactics. Again congrats on Petal for finally getting over the hump and beating OG for the first time since 2019. Let’s see if they can do it when it matters.2 points

No, you assumed that and associated that all by yourself. When you bring alcohol to a party, the chance of violence increases. When you mix weed and alcohol together, it increases even more. The fact a school allowed that on campus, is really mind blowing to be honest. Sounds like you are wanting to defend the party, and I don’t think that’s good. By all means go throw a party on private property somewhere and smoke and drink all you want. But not at a school.2 points

I totally agree. The next fan or neighbor school friend who does this someone will be punished. And remember once u qualify for the playoffs and forfeit your done until 2027.1 point

The speculation has been they are planning on re-debuting it next week for the Texas game at home. If Florida beats State 52-0 on Saturday like they did in 2001, I may just have to pick up a new fall hobby for the rest of my life.1 point

I always respected his own the line of scrimmage philosophy. It was successful too. RIP Coach Miller1 point

If you go against the recommendation of MHSAA, it happens to your school then your not going to like the mandate of MHSAA.1 point

Your stupid. The tailgate area is always packed. Just because there is not a tent doesn’t mean people not down there.1 point

you hit the nail on the head! too many classes and too few teams in each division. Also under no circumstances should more than half the teams in a division make the playoffs. 8 teams per division with 4 making playoffs is the perfect size.1 point

And for the record, I am actually against tailgating on school property. I think too many problems can come from that. But what we do at our school is allow a handful of boosters to buy selected seating in front of the fieldhouse before the season as a fundraiser. Those boosters set up a table and they have food while they watch the game. They bring all the food from home. They don’t cook at the stadium, they don’t listen to music, they don’t have alcohol, they aren’t in the parking lot. It’s just 5 families that pay $400 before the season to watch the game from their tents with food in front of the fieldhouse where police officers are already standing. But that’s considered “tailgating”, so now we aren’t allowed to do that. And it’s all because of Heidelberg’s ignorance.1 point

I like to have myself a drink and use to be an advocate of the devil’s lettuce but never have I thought to myself “man I gotta take this with me to this high school football game because I can’t go without for 3 hours”1 point

That’s false. I only mentioned it once, and you focused on that. Which is telling in itself. You are going out of your way to defend weed and alcohol on school campus, and it’s not a good look.1 point
-
Uh, if you don’t see what that has to do with anything I don’t know what to tell you. Alcohol and drugs help contribute to violence. It should never be allowed to happen on any school campus.1 point
-
Schools have policies against alcohol and drugs. Its obvious that u can't stop a fan from drinking. You can denigh him or her entrance if you smell it or they dog drunk. Sometimes you assume the person shooting may have been impaired himself. As a parent you wouldn't want to be around it under normal circumstances. Some of us are simply not raised around it nor do we partake. But if u walk down the sidewalk going to the stands then u just make a judgement call. Enjoy the game and leave most likely afterwards.1 point

I tell my wife all the time that my dream job is be a fired SEC head football coach.1 point

I don’t take SEC wins for granted because there’s a team in this state who since their last SEC win my son was conceived, born, said his first words, learned to walk and now walking and talking up a storm.1 point

I doubt you have really fixed anything. You are just now playing 1A teams, so you’re having more success. And players are getting more comfortable in the offense1 point

That why HHS is playing on Thursday nights. There was gonna be a game at north jackson field last night. Jackson schools are already doing that1 point
-
Absolutely . They lost to McComb and very well could have lost to cripple Laurel last night. Laurel's defense is one step above playing against air and they could only manage to put up 14 points.1 point

Exactly. This is the year to beat OG if you’re gonna do it. Most of those kids are juniors and sophomores.1 point

All these people pitching in have no idea just how bad Foster has been at Lafayette and honestly Senatobia. They ran him out of Senatobia and now Lafayette is finding out why. Jay Foster is concerned with one thing….. Jay Foster. He ran Michael Fair out of town by telling him 6-5 and getting beat by Oxford won’t keep your job at Lafayette and ran off all of his assistant coaches. Genius Jay Foster also had the opportunity to hire Stan Hill as HC when he ran Michael off but chose his “buddy” to bring back the good ole days. I don’t know if he checked the school but there isn’t a Jeremy Liggins, Jeremy Woodall, or Demarcus Dennis running around Lafayette anymore. Jay has been getting hammered about the gap between Oxford and Lafayette County in football given that demographics and student population is basically the same. The gap shouldn’t be that wide but it is growing and it’s due to him running everyone out of town. Instead of taking the blame and fixing it his plan is to QUIT the crosstown classic and run like a coward so he can claim the gap isn’t as wide as it actually is. He showed no regard for softball that use the game to fundraise and no regard for baseball that has worked their tails off to get to the point that they beat Oxford and are the premier baseball program in town. Now because of his EGO those children don’t get to compete in the classic. Also what about Volleyball that wins the classic most years, but hey football is the main thing causing his deficiency as a leader to be noticed so his plan to save his tail is to do away with the game. Jay Foster is the best thing to happen to OHS and Regents. I guarantee Adam Pugh would not have quit on the kids to make himself look better.1 point
