Im more pointing at Hattiesburg’s qb play and coaching.  I feel like the qb is their weakness as he tends to panic and get happy feet and not see a wide open wr or throws way off target. I watched the terry game and feel like several qb decisions are the only things that stopped a few drives.  
 

west absolutely must get pressure sending no more than 5 and not blitz the safety so much.  Several times we got beat with big pass plays when caught blitzing the safety.  Cause it’s easy to see coming.

In the Jackson Prep game, Prep loaded the box and dared WJ to throw. Without Lindsay at QB, WJ just couldn't.

I expect him to be at QB a lot more tonight then he has been this season. He has been at receiver mostly, only at QB

in the region games (Terry) they felt it was necessary, and then only a little. As to throwing, we will see.

yep, 70s from 7 to 9pm. Can't believe its the last game of the regular season, and I will be wearing shorts

First time really watching Hattiesburg this season. Do they not rely on the run at all ? It seemed like they passed every down.

West Jones committed to stopping the run. Hattiesburg game plan was to play to their weakness and establish passing game. First time all season we slanged it like that.

WJ cannot stop no one passing to save there lives and we used that to our advantage. WJ was on our run game we still had over 100+ rushing tonight.

We can run the ball ask around our 10th grader had 134 rushing 19 carries against Terry last week

Some good competition coming. Most likely Picayune.. and if Burg wins that then probably Grenada or maybe Warren Central.

Chance to tie the game starting the 4th QTR and then 90yard pick 6 was a 14 point swing.

But, with such a 1 dimensional game plan and missing 2 starting lineman injured last week, 

may not have mattered. I expected Pierce to play some QB to at least offer the threat of 

throwing the ball. He was on the field all night, all they had to do was move Lindsey to WR.

 

I'll say it again, Vance is better than I expected. Gets the ball out quick, accurate, and those

WRs seemed to have velcro hands if the ball was anywhere close. Need to cleanup the 

penalties though. The left tackle literally held West Jones #9 on every single pass play.

You do know that no.5 WR for Hattiesburg is the no. 1 player in the state for class of 2026? Probably gonna be top 50 in the nation before its said and done

Since it’s the end of the regular season I’ll end with saying Hattiesburg won’t be dead next season either, we lose a lot but have a good core coming back. We also have a QB that I think can take over for the next two years.
