Both teams have great rushing attacks, but the difference is that Picayune defense playing better than years past. I’ve got to go with the home team. Picayune certainly won’t overlook or take East Central lightly. East Central is currently undefeated for a reason. With that being said, this Maroon Tide football team certainly is one for the ages. That defense is something I’ve never seen before and it’s probably a little bit better than advertised. The offense though is just as powerful, maybe not as explosive as the 2019 offense, but they don’t need to be. It truly is a complete football team. That foundation has been clear and has been built upon since that time. East Central will put up a fight, but so will the Tide. The Maroon Tide will roll on. Maroon, I do think Picayune needs to have a game where they get punched in the mouth first to see how they react to a little adversity. I know its totally different but in 2018 Hattiesburg boat raced everyone during the regular season by at least 20 or more (except for Petal) and then West Jones threw us a haymaker in the playoffs and we didnt respond to it at all. Well we certainly didn't dominate Poplarville, Jefferson Davis County, or Gulfport. We didn't play clean ball those games and Poplarville and Jefferson Davis County made adjustments after halftime. I'd have to say Seth was definitely the best thing to ever happen to hurley, since Seth, our football team has made so much history and we have been to the playoffs 7 straight years which has never been done, made it past the 2nd round twice which had never been done before Seth, we had a minor set back past few years with a sorry coach who didn't know how to call plays on offense, but we are back to our way thus year with our new coach, we gonna have to play perfect against yall, but win or lose, I think we will have success in the post season this year Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
