Here it is folks whether we like it or not.  It's just the new reality we are going to have to deal with.

I saw a lot of drama raised about this on social media last night and from what I gathered, he will not be compensated until after he exhausts his eligibility in December. MHSAA rules still state high school players cannot receive NIL. Was told this move allows him to still get his NIL AND be eligible to play football this fall.

This is gonna get really ugly eventually

Possibly. You know every team in 6a, especially the south during the regular season is going to keep an eye on George Co and Knight. They will be ready to pounce if it seems like anything was done that violates the MHSAA rules. And according to those rules, athletes are not allowed to be compensated by NIL until their elgibility is up.

I would be worried about jealousy on my own team.  That ole right guard, that isn't going to play anywhere & is just playing because he loves it, may decide that if the QB doesn't give him a little compensation he might not get his best effort blocking on game night.  Great for the kid getting the money, but for the coach trying to manage all of it............................
