Exactly! LOL Nah that's honestly just a running joke about him being the lead candidate in every job opening

I am just busting your chops! It would not surprise me if Bilderback was play caller as he is regarded as a top defensive mind. I will say I have heard nothing but great things about Russum

I gotcha. I just know Chip is a big time defensive guy and that he likes to be in control. I haven't heard anything negative about Russum either

It’s not uncommon for head coaches to call one side of the ball and give the title to somebody . Hack Marcus boyles has long had a oc on paper but I am sure there are years where he has called the offense . I think McDonald called the defense this year at tville but had a dc on paper . I have no clue if the coach at Columbia called the defense , it doesn’t really matter though.

You are either crazy or clueless if you really think that Chip let Bo run the defense. Bo was never a 5 front cover 3 guy, but Chip loves that style.

coming from a guy who supported a guy at Taylorsville that couldn't be confirmed as the DC but should be the next  head coach,  don't think I'm clueless  hahahahah.  If russum wasn't a quality coach then bilderback would have never kept him.  Cluff is also a good option

I never said Russum wasn't a good quality coach. I just said that Bilderback called the defense. I think Cluff would be a really good option if they want somebody for one year.

Pogue is a great hire. Been successful everywhere he's been. Honestly, did miracles at JA, first as defensive coordinator, and he made a very mediocre JA team to the big state championship game, actually the last JA coach to beat Prep. He got pushed out due to some administrative changes, and he was decent his one year at Heritage. With Pogue and Joey Hawkins, the talent pool has great coaching.

Oak Grove, Columbia, and Hattiesburg all recruit players. They start out doing it at the youth level.

Who has HHS recruited? Dont name the players, just tell me what school or schools players have come from. HHS has players leave sometimes but no one ever moves in

Well can I request some forbidden fruit then? LOL!  If you can turn dreams into reality, that may not be needed after all.  I guess I just want a contrasting yet complementary offense to the Wing-T.  We needed something different last year and we didn't have it.

I think having some form of a spread package would pay dividends for picayune greatly. Especially if it was something you could incorporate into a “tempo” look. Lining up wing-T and running power toss then getting on the ball and go 4 wide running read option then lining back up in wing-T. That would be tough to defend and prepare for.

It did before.  Just look at the 2011 & 2013 State Title teams.  I'd just be happy with something similar in that wheelhouse, but you've got to have a QB who can run it and can change on the fly.  It's definitely doable, but it's something that takes buy in from coaches and players alike.
