Bulldogs4
In the new realm of unlimited transfers and NIL it is crap shoot at best. You are correct that being able to fit the pieces is like putting together the pieces of a chess board. Gotta be able to get the correct pieces. pancho
yes and I am kinda doubting Lemo's chess playing ability.
hasbeen67
Gautreau looked like a rising star at one time. Now maybe not so much. So is that on him or the talent (or a little of both)?
pancho
It is squarely on him and he knows it.
Bulldogs4
Evansville for the win even with the HP umpire trying to gift wrap a comeback for 10-R-C in the ninth inning. Another win tomorrow would be so appropriate though I am sure the powers that be will do their best to prevent it.

Dawg83
Florida State, Virginia, North Carolina already punched tickets to Omaha. At least one ticket will be punched today, possibly four. Looking like Georgia-NC State is headed for a Monday Game 3.

Dawg83
Kentucky going to Omaha for the first time ever. Lot of MSU guys on that staff. Not just Mingione but also Nick Ammirati and Trevor Fitts. And they’ve got a great chance to get to the finals with A&M having some injury issues. 2024 Florida is 2022 Ole Miss. Lucky to make the NCAAT, now in Omaha. Georgia vs NC State is the lone Monday game. Interesting that 6 of the 8 Supers only went two games. Tennessee vs A&M was my Finals pick. Both got to Omaha. We will see what happens.
Bulldogs4
Kentucky is the sentimental favorite but it’s very difficult to win the CWS in your first attempt. Anybody but Tennessee will be fine with me. Florida State would be another deserving team after all the years of not winning it.
Dawg83
South Carolina is hiring Paul Mainieri. As head coach. In 2024. WHAT???

If it comes to pass, that would be head scratcher. He will be turning 67 in August. He certainly did a great job at ND & LSU but how long will he realistically be able to coach there? USCe won back to back to CWS not too many years ago. Don’t see them getting to Omaha anytime soon if this does in fact happen.
Bulldogs4
NC State beats UGA. So it is the ACC versus SEC (sorta). Three and one each side of the bracket. Most likely it will be an ACC-SEC finale. But it is wide open. Though as much as I dislike them, Tennessee has to be considered the favorite. We will see how it goes starting Friday. I think Florida State beats UNC in the loser’s bracket and we could get a couple more UT vs FSU games.
rebmus
NC State eliminated today, that leaves 3 SEC teams to battle for the finals. It may well be an all SEC final.
Bulldogs4
NCSTATE, UVA and UNC are homeward bound. Florida State is the last great hope for the ACC. At this point Tennessee has to be favorite. But anybody but them will be fine with me. Even Gag, Florida whom I dislike too would be preferable over 10RC. A&M or KY would be good with me. KY in particular but they have a big hill to climb now. Dawg83
I would be very unhappy if I were Kentucky and Florida. Rain delayed their game last night to this morning. So they play an elimination game at 10, and then the winner has to turn around and play again tonight. Don’t recall seeing a doubleheader in Omaha like this anytime recently. rebmus
UT advances to the final. Florida beat KY this morning and has to beat A&M twice to advance to the final... we'll see if they can pick up the first chance shortly.
Bulldogs4
A&M and Tennessee in the finals. With each having a two day break, the pitching staffs should be in good shape for both squads. There will be a new champion this year. Go Aggies!!! I would be safe to say everyone outside Knoxville & Austin will be in A&M’s corner. Hopefully it will be an exciting two or three games. Dawg83
Not to diminish State and OM’s national championships but it’s a little humbling that it has been followed by other SEC mates winning it all immediately after. And this year we will have a first time winner, as well. Also, lol at Arkansas for still not having one.
Bulldogs4
Quote ”Also, lol at Arkansas for still not having one.” Arkansas and Florida State are both teams that will eventually win the CWS. If you keep playing around the top of the ledger, it is eventually going to happen.
