1)For me it was Meridian… no disrespect meant to Meridian I was expecting Coach Vance to bring you guys back. I just figured it may take a year or so

Definitely pleasantly surprised. We knew the team would be improved but nobody, I mean nobody expected the result from Friday night.
Coach Vance has gotten the kids to play together. Also off the field the kids are showing good character. We will see if we can build on this as the season moves forward.

SE Lauderdale appears to be improved.

Lanier beating Harrison Central was a surprise.

West Lauderdale getting waxed by Seminary was an eye opener.
GPT beating Yune was not a surprise but by a blow out and shut out was.

Why does Lanier winning surprise you? They have been solid a couple years and Harr Central has been terrible

Well Meridian listened to everyone pat them on the shoulder telling them how good they were and then promptly lost to Neshoba Central.
I almost saw it coming. You win a game by a large margin that you were supposed be lose.

But then you get the big head and lose to a team which was seemingly not even close to the team you beat.

Neshoba Central lost pretty big last week to 4A school also.

That 4A school would more than likely win 5a North. Problem is they’re also in 4A North with Louisville. We will see them play each other twice this year. How fun will that be!

It will happen. IAHS appears to maybe be the next best 4A north team now after beating Corinth last night and they should beat New Albany next week too.      Interesting tidbit , Winston the Senatobia RB has approx 1000 vs New Albany over the last 3 games over the last 3 years.
