Murmurs in the state that several schools were place on probation Monday?  Anyone have any knowledge if this is true?

Spill the beans! LOL Who are they? And what kind of probation? There are two kinds when it comes to MHSAA. The kind where its a slap on the wrist telling you not to do it anymore and the kind where they will come down pretty hard.

from my sources

colmer middle school, choctaw county, louisville high and hattiesberg high all got 1 year disciplinary probation for football. only colmer middle was fined

choctaw central high, choctaw middle and MSMS were each fined for missing the district meetings

What are they doing in Pascagoula to get fined?  Especially a Middle School at that.

What does that mean for Choctaw Louisville and Hattiesburg?

Probably a warning not to get caught repeating or face postseason bans.

But that’s just an assumption

I remember last season about 13 schools were put on probation for putting pads on too early

this is sort of what this is as well.  not following practice guidelines....so many days in just helmets, then just helmet and pads more than likely.   Some might get it this week as well with the ole wet bulb coming in to play.

In other words, get practices in early in the morning or late in the evening.  Not in the middle of the day or 3:00 in the afternoon.

Admit it.  After the conversations around H’burg recruiting Tuesday as soon as you saw the thread title you felt uneasy.  As soon as he named Hattiesburg you felt your cheeks tighten a bit.

If only Hattiesburg had been mentioned probably so. But with other schools mentioned, I knew it was just something minor. Who knows Hattiesburg and the other schools mentioned may have self reported what they did. No worries.

Last year I think everyone self reported, so they just got the verbal warning.
