Clarkdale @ Enterprise

Basically these teams are even. Enterprise is two points from being winless and Clarkdale is two points from being 1-2.
I think Clarkdale makes it two in a row with a win over the starship 24-23.
Clarkdale’s one point loss to West Lauderdale is more impressive than Enterprise’s one point win over Lake. The other two games were blowout losses. I know Enterprise is at home but the Cdawgs will beat the Edawgs in this one albeit it will be close.

Great post there Bulldogs4 and I agree completely there.  Enterprise has certainly dominated the series here, but I think Clarkdale has a little bit more to prove and I think they'll want it more.

Enterprise will be without 2 more players this week.  They were ejected last week when they played Mize.

Oh yeah I forgot all about that. And one of them is Miller, their really good defensive end. I’m changing my prediction now. Clarkdale 28-21

That’s a huge loss since Miller is their best player. Is it just for a half or do the players have to sit for whole game?

I think can return sometime in the 3rd quarter. That’s when he was ejected last week. I’m not too privy to the rules. I thought ejections were just for 4 quarters

From MHSAA Handbook:

Any student ejected for fighting or “flagrant” unsportsmanlike conduct (Example, but not limited to cursing an official, fan, etc.; spitting, obscene gestures) shall be ineligible for a minimum of the equivalent of next football game (1 game plus the fraction of a quarter that the player was ejected) or next track meet or the equivalent of two contests plus the fraction of the period that the participant was ejected in any other sport (2 games in basketball; 2 games in softball and baseball; 2 games in soccer.

Well according to that rule, both players will be out this week. Miller was ejected in the 3rd quarter and the other kid was ejected in the 4th quarter

So no Ridge either. That’s another pretty big loss on defense cuz he’s one of their best flys to the ball tacklers.

It’s hard to get a gauge on Clarkdale without having seen them play this year and only looking at box scores but I did suspect them to be down this year with what they lost. It showed last week with their loss to Forest who they dominated 49-0 last year. I too am surprised at the final score in their game against West Lauderdale. They have def played the more difficult schedule thus far when you add in a Choctaw County team that is one of the best in 3A.
