Here is a list of guys they are giving interviews to that I know about let’s just get it all out there so everyone can see who they will have to reject to choose the coach.

some mitchell fellow I don’t know who he is

who knows how many hathorn threw in the garbage.

 

i hope mangum sees hathorne as the backstabber he absolutely is. After Mangum dug him out of the gutter because he had been run off every where he had been.

I wouldn’t crap on Mitch Evans he has coach Boyles stamp of approval but Mangum, Kat or pound are the only choices that know what what it’s going to take with a combination of all three preferably.  I wont accept anyone else and the dam BOE shouldn’t either.

Hold up Hathornes resignation and contract renewal to stop his retirement and paycheck if he continues to try to install himself as the sole authority on this process. He will fold up like he  was punched him in his doughboy gut

WC won basketball titles . That was our

superpower. Bobby Hall recognized this right off and started incorporating it into his offense. Get them in space and let them go. The players are still there. Bubba Hathorne and his wing t boys have killed that type of player.

I’m curious about the college guys and how they relate to the high schoolers if one of them were to get it. They are used to a different type of kid and half of them don’t recruit high schools anymore and live in the portal. Seems like there could be a divide there but could be wrong

I can’t speak about Austin Davis i don’t know much about him as a coach. Great player with NFL experience but great players don’t always make great coaches.

Coach Boone on the other hand was at WC years ago before getting into the JUCO ranks and moving on to the D1 ranks. He’s is absolutely a good footballer coach and married to a Wayne County girl. His son was on an all Star baseball team a few years ago with my grandson. I’m going to say his son’s probably 13-14 now very good athlete

I think they are some relation but this dude was rep for NEJ district after that sulpt retired. Im not sure how long after but i thought it was the former supt too but it’s a different one . This one is on the committee that Hathorne throws around that he is on  every chance he gets

The names and numbers of applicants are mot being given to the BOE . 
this is done on purpose so the public  doesn’t know who was discarded by Hathorne.

Why is what’s happening being hidden ?

Read that again they  have shut out the board until they give them the names of  candidates they want them to vote on . They claim more open and public. Shove it . same old game as the last ten years

in the late 90’s. I want to say it was 97 or 98 under Henry. Since then he’s coached at UAB, Nicholls State, East Central CC, UT Martin, Jacksonville St, Murray State, East Mississippi CC, Southern Miss, Samford and now Troy. He’s been the DC at 5 or 6 of those stops. 
 

For me the list of who I want is relatively short. So let’s hope whoever is making the decision chooses wisely.

How anyone who is a member of a school board, be it the superintended, or the desk clerk, could allow an outgoing principle, who was more or less forced to resign, and after the contempt for board members he showed back in December, have any say in filling any job openings, is complete lunacy.  He should have been fired for insubordination before new years.

That's a lot of hopping around. I know it's a long time but what is is average stay at places? Usually not a good looking resume hopping around

He’s a very good coach but the community is only going to back one or two candidates. I’m going to post this and it’s probably going to make some people mad but it’s not my intention.

On another site someone posted the candidates that they knew of. In the comments underneath there was a comment made are there any black candidates. Unfortunately that’s how a lot are looking at it they’re not worrying about the best coach. To many people White and Black in Wayne County are turning it into a racial thing. 
I don’t care White,Black, Brown etc…. Give me the best available coach that can bring the team together and win. I’ve known Tracey Lampley pretty much all his life, Kevin Gandy if either get it I would be thrilled and support them on the other hand if Todd Mangum or Chris Boone gets the job I’ll do the same.just hire a good COACH!!!!

The last outside hire didn’t go over very well. I’m not sure if like myself people felt Kat wasn’t given a fair shake or it was an outsider

Maybe but he’s so outnumbered most of the others will walk in like with Bubba. Coach Chap is a stand up guy and wants what’s best and was part of all the State Title teams except the last one with Coach Mangum

Also and my last comment. All the good ones are outsiders until they do something to become part of the club.

 

Hall/Boyles Smith county

Mangum/Simpson County. 

 

Plenty that way at other schools and I know it happens but not sure how many are born and bred and do great things at their home school.
