Bubba Hathorn will name himself coach before lets anyone who was on staff with or was a player under Marcus boyles be a head coach at Wayne county as long as he has any say.  He will, and is trying, to torch it all to the ground on his way out before that happens.

It's obvious Bubba doesn't have 3 votes on the board along with very few contacts in MHSAA.  Otherwise their waiting on him to leave before they apply.

Basically what I can tell you that my sister who taught school with Marcus mom. Both were math teachers at Raleigh. Marcus went to WC from Pearl to be head coach, AD, and asst principal. My educated guess is Bubba wanted and got the head principal over Marcus. Marcus went to Petal to be closer to his girls at USM. So Bubba must have got his way.

Their beef started when Marcus was named HC over Bubba it was pretty heated. Bubba left for a few years. Marcus went to Petal at the time because he felt it was a better situation at the time for his family nothing to do with a principal job. He spent 11 or 12 years at WC and we are more than thankful for him.

Hall hired Bubba am I correct.  If so Marcus was brought in to be the head coach when Hall left. Poor Bubba at the time. Bubba may have to eat this one or find another candidate.

Hall did not hire Bubba we are going back to 2000 now lol. I believe Bubba was on staff when he got there but he did make him DC. Hall really liked him as DC to. For some reason I think Bubba was Baseball coach as well. But he really came unglued when Marcus got the head coaching job. Like I said things got pretty heated in the field house

Marcus had been gone close to ten years when Bubba made principal . Marcus fired him and told him Mangum was coming to be the DC, He didn't want to give up his keys  Todd Brelad took them away from him, made him get his stuff  and threw it in his car then watched him go.  . Hathorne ran straight to Ben Graves and Graves told him if Marcus says you are out then you are terminated. He was a sorry coach on the street again.

He deserves worse with the predicament he has put us in.

Bubba maybe very well be fighting to be Superintendent and asst Superintendent or AD over the whole county. He would be hiring all the coaches .
