I have to go with 100% . Them guys pulling their names is a sign it's in the bag. Unless they were so turned off by the panels questions they left town making turns on two wheels.

If it's not him then their inability to come together and make a wise decision is a bad sign for Wayne County  as a whole not just the football team.  It's a crossroads for this new crew of board members. Can they be better than the ones who hired Jerk Hankins ?

This is 100% true I just found out. Dragging their feet with hiring a supt, and Hathorne+ Jerk Hankins waffling on retiring or not has made it a job nobody wants. Besides Kat or Pound who is left ? Oh that's right the political arms favorite son Borey Reynolds. Nobody will continue to show up to the games besides the 25 family members of his and they won't after week three.

Maybe. But I would doubt it. He's probably pulled his name too, They are trying to keep all of this hidden . Like a child thats broken something they don't want it seen but dont have the mental chops to know why.

I would agree, but how does the committee see him? Do they think he will actually come and stay or would he be gone as soon as the next college offers him a job? That’s a big risk to take. Plus, you have to wonder if he can relate to high schoolers like he does college guys

Very good point.  College guys are used to jumping at any opportunity and if USM calls and say come be the DC the war eagles will be looking again in 2 months.

They would be wise to push this hire back and see who the new Superintendent will be and maybe even new principal. I know if I was a candidate I would want to know who my boss would be. I would rather see that than just to hire to be making a hire and it be a bad hire.

Boone has Jones County and Wayne County ties in this. He also has kids that would be at Wayne County High school if hired..  His wife is a Wayne County native… I think he’s tired of chasing college jobs.. he really liked being at Southern Miss a few years ago when he was on Jay Hopson’s staff.

He’s a really good guy would not hate this hire. His wife was a Wayne Academy Graduate and standout basketball player there when they had the run of State Titles. Their kids attended Wayne Academy up until a year or so ago when they got tired of Chris being in one place and her and the kids here in Waynesboro. Very good family and I just feel if he’s put in for the job that they’re ready to come home they aren’t getting any younger.
