State at Arkansas -4.5: two teams that have been beyond bad in winning time, and one of them will finally be declared a winner (somehow). Arkansas has a very dynamic offense but a ghastly defense. State has been decent on both sides of the ball, but very up and down and it seems to fluctuate quarter to quarter. Key to the game for me is turnovers. Probably looking at a bit of a track meet, so whoever can force mistakes has an edge. To this point State has been pretty good in TO margin whereas Arkansas has been terrible at forcing turnovers, and Taylen Green - while a very dynamic playmaker - has shown a tendency to be turnover prone at times.

Not sure this game deserves that many words of analysis, lol…. But I’m picking State to get the monkey off the back here. They’ve been painfully close to an excellent season. But now it’s time to go beat the 2-6 team that fired their coach already. State is the team with more to play for at this point and they’ve shown the ability to look like a good team. No excuses to be had if you can’t go win this one. It’s time. State 42, Arkansas 31.

South Carolina at Ole Miss -12.5: ok Ole Miss, you’ve done the hard part, congrats on setting yourself up for a clean runway to make the Playoff. Can you avoid screwing it up on takeoff? Carolina has been one of the bigger disappointments of the season, though they did take Bama to the wire last week. Sellers is dynamic enough to give them a chance and keep them in it, but I don’t think I can see them winning this one in Oxford at night. OM offense is just a bit too much for them. I have the Rebs winning 34-20.

Vanderbilt at Texas -1.5: man the Vandy story has been fun, and if they win this game, they’re probably making the Playoff, amazingly! I’m going to be a bit of a party pooper and take Texas at home, though. I think this will be low scoring, ugly game and I just give the home team the edge here.

Georgia -7.5 vs Florida: Billy Napier out, Billy Gonzales in. I have no idea what Florida is going to look like. But I think Georgia’s offense is the best part of both teams and I have them winning this by about 10.

Oklahoma at Tennessee -3.5: I have the Vols winning this possibly by double digits. I didn’t love what I saw from the Oklahoma offense at all against OM, and I don’t trust them to score enough to match Tennessee, similar to how the OM game went. Playing in Neyland at night should be a great atmosphere.

Kentucky at Auburn -10.5: I’ll be danged if Hugh isn’t going to fool around and make it to a bowl game. Does that save him? I dunno. But I think Kentucky is no good, especially on the road, so Auburn wins this one.

I'm going with Arkansas being the only remaining game Texas wins. Oklahoma is the only decent team they beat. They needed luck to scrape by MSU and Kentucky. Texas A&M, on the other hand, has only Missouri left as a decent opponent. They' re probably in the playoffs.

I see Facebook posts about MSU offering Austin Simmons. Is that true?

I'm not a huge Freeze or Auburn guy, but they have gotten shafted several games and may be as good as any of the second tier SEC teams.

State has been so close at times this year, I think they'll get the W this weekend vs Arkansas.

Ole Miss SHOULD handle USCe... BUT, South Carolina sure gave Bama all they wanted last weekend. IF Ole Miss plays like the Washington State game, it's a loss. If they play like last week, it's a win.

So many picking Texas, give me Vandy. (IF the backup plays instead of Arch and wins... things will be interesting in Austin)

UGA all day long, this game shouldn't be close.

UT I guess, this is a tough pick but UT hosts.

Auburn picks up the W. On Auburn, how much "safer" is Freeze's job (win or lose) with all the openings already? This isn't a good year to get into a coaching search.

If Ole Miss and Memphis were to win out there’s a good possibility we could get a Memphis/Ole Miss playoff game in Oxford. No way Ole Miss screws that up *sarcasm. This is about to be the biggest month of November in Ole Miss football history. All starts Saturday. Got to come out with the same urgency and preparation that we’ve done the last two weeks and hopefully finally play a full four quarters of football. DL will be the key in this game for both teams. Can Carolina get enough pressure on Chambliss to throw him off his game? Can Ole Miss stop Sellers from keeping plays alive that creates a big play? If Ole Miss is able to contain Sellers this should be a 2 TD win. If not we’re in for another nail biter that comes down to the last possession.

As for the other games, give me State to finally snap their SEC losing streak, give me Georgia pulling away in 2H to win that one, give me Auburn winning to keep Freeze alive, I think Tennessee actually steamrolls OU by about 17 in a blackout Neyland stadium and I think Vandy keeps their playoff chances alive with a big road win in the last min.

Gotta be true if it’s on Facebook. Must want KT’s dad to go off some more and KT transfer.

Absolutely true. The Internet never lies. Does it?

Though barring injury our starting QB should be set for the next several years with Kamario Taylor.
So I would tend to think that is some idiot trying to stir up something out of nothing.

He might transfer but I seriously doubt it would be to State. More than likely back home to a Florida school. He’s the highest paid NIL guy on the Ole Miss roster so a school will def have to drop a bag to get him.

Simmons will be in demand if he hits the portal, but I don’t think State would be likely to be a huge part of it.

Feel pretty confident State is planning to ride with Kamario for the next 2-3 years, assuming they can keep him out of the portal too. Not sure if Kromenhoek stays long term. If not, look for State to add an older portal QB next year perhaps as a backup, perhaps to compete as starter.

If you told me at the beginning of the season that Week 10’s 11:00 game with the biggest playoff implication would be Navy vs North Texas and not Penn St at Ohio St I would’ve laughed at you. Got a few games today that are basically playoff games with that one, Oklahoma at Tennessee, Vandy at Texas and kinda sorta Cincinnati at Utah.

Ohio State vs Penn State was supposed to be this huge No. 1 vs. No. 2 game going into the season, and today it will happen with zero fanfare whatsoever.

USCe-Ole Miss. OM plays a bit like they did against Wazzou. SC will threaten an upset but Ole Miss wins an ugly game 35-28.

State-Arkansas. Toilet Bowl. One team is 2-6 and  the other is 4-4. Four win team should break through but it is on the road. To win State needs to run the ball effectively, NOT commit stupid penalties and win the fourth quarter. Can we do it? I sure hope so. Here is going out on a limb. State 41, Arkansas 34.

Vandy@Texas. Vandy wins on the road and confounds the pundits. Vandy 34, Texas 27.

Georgia>Florida though it will be a closer game than most expect. Not a lot of points to be scored however. GA 20, FL 13

Tennessee crushes Okie. TN 40, Oklahoma 24 (Sooners score late to make it look better).

Upset special. Kentucky pulls the unthinkable and finishes off Hugh Freeze with an ugly win.

KY 17, Auburn 16 (Auburn has an extra point blocked).
