Where is Everybody?

What has happened to everyone who used to post about their favorite teams? No matter how good or bad they were. Petal vs Gulfport Wayne Co vs George Co. Oak Grove playing one of the top teams from Louisiana. Brandon playing a top team from Alabama. Tupelo vs Oxford. Not one post about those games this week.

Undefeated PRC is playing Poplarville who lost a game.  Who woulda thunk Poplarville would lose a game before PRC?  I realize they may not beat Poplarville, but before the season began I was a dead lock on them not beating Gautier and now they have a decent chance at winning that one.  If they hold serve and beat Sumrall, Long Beach, and Hancock that will get them to 6 wins with a chance to get to 7 wins if they beat Gautier.  I still have Picayune, Goula, & Poplarville as losses for them but you never know.

oxford don't have a prayer with tupelo. and oxford is a decent team but the tupelo D is stiffling

Clay-Chalkville is something else. If Brandon can even play a close game, I'll be impressed.

 

C-C is 146-46 over the last 12 seasons and have out-scored their first four opponents 208-24 this year.

 

I wish Brandon the best, but they're playing over there and not at home... that's a biggie. I've had quite a few OOS games in which the officiating was... curious - especially in Alabama.

Maybe not. The point I was trying to make is that no one seems to make a thread about their upcoming game anymore. Their are only a few certain fans of teams who come week in and week out and talk about the game they have that week. I dont know if some think that this page has gotten stale over the years or if they have lost interest in their teams since they have gotten older. Then maybe some have just moved away

I feel like this forum has adult conversations about football without all of the negative talk about opponents and coaches. There is some but mostly solid guys just talking sports. Need more of it but sadly many people go to the sites where there’s too much crap and not enough substance. It’s a good thing in my opinion.

I agree and in some ways now I simply don't reveal all the info I have on certain teams/schools and the issues they are in.  We have to dance around the issue without actually saying the truth because criticism makes some weary.

I don’t think officiating will matter in the least.

The reason I’m not posting as much is I am unable to keep up with Wayne County as much as I have for more years than I care to share lol. It has nothing to do with wins and losses, who’s coaching or who’s not coaching for the record I like Coach Hankins. 
 My grandson goes to Wayne Academy he has been. But he’s now a Freshman and I do what I should we show our support to him and their team on Friday nights. Doesn’t mean I don’t support WC too it just means I’m not as close to the program as I was. I would rather not post anything than to post something that I don’t know if it’s true or not. I do try to post scores from both WA and WC on Friday nights

The reason I don't post as much is because my alma mater Meridian sucks *mod edit*! There used to be tons of Meridian fans on here, now almost none.

The life has been sucked out of Wayne County football for me . All they do is lose and celebrate moral victories. That and collect the yearly allotment of revenue from school controlled royalties . They really don't need people to show up to the games or have interest.

Whatever happened to MHSWriter?  That dude was a mod on here and was also a State fan.  I also want to apologize for you getting mod edited.  You're just calling it like you see it and there's no shame in that.

MHSWriter is still living in the Jackson area but I have not seen or talked to him in several years. 
I see his Mom regularly and I will ask her how he is doing.

And like CC said, Meridian is just not very good anymore. 
I post on the college board some but that is about it.

The last time I heard from him he was living out around the Northwest Rankin area. He came down one year to WC I believe Tyler Russell was QB at Meridian, he came over and tailgated with us he was a really nice dude.
