Being that both Brandon and Hattiesburg are both in the top20 of all time programs in the state without winning a state title speaks volumes of how consistent their programs are year in and year out..

I don’t think that they mean football only. Hattiesburg and Brandon basketball and baseball teams are also good every year

Vott don't cut yourself short.  That 1924 title is just as valid today as it was then.

If that’s the case, a few teams in Mississippi has a say so as being the best dynasty

Here's another caveat:  they are only using active football programs.  I kept looking for Weir and I couldn't find them.

They included the old conference championships (Re:  Big 8 Champions) into the algorithm.

Teams like Weir and Bassfield get mentioned at the end with an explanation on why they were left out.

You were wrong on Taylorsville in that they were 1A ,they were 2A until  2021 when they moved down !

I miss seeing Mr. Wayne in his Bassfield hat.  He wore it with pride.

Pretty wild that No. 1 and No. 3 on the list play each other to kick off the season.

I think when you talk about the "greatest" programs of all time, I tend to think of those programs that, may have not have won many titles, but have just been hard teams to beat on a year to year basis. Because those are the teams that you talk about when you say, "we have so-in-so, this week and we have to be prepared and play good ball." You do have heavy weight programs, but some of your best teams do not always win it all but they will give whoever does win it hell every year.
