Good question. OG was really fortunate last season, getting a 51yd fg as time expired. Not sure what WC lost besides the QB on offense. Ill say its close midway thru the 3rd period but OG pours it on after that. 42-17

This game will set the tone for WC win or lose. I don’t think they will get steam rolled. They was in every ball game last year at least I thought they were. If WC can find a QB it could be interesting. OG is built for big games and should be firing on all cylinders

The QB isn’t the problem for WC even the backup is very capable.

Agree we pretty much lost that game last year except for final score.  Y’all really dominated us to be honest. I was there and not happy with the win.

Slick is supposed to have the cornbread done by halftime.  Won’t even need an oven or stove.  He can get the jalapeños from the concession stand and @Ghost of Howard Cosellis bringing the buttermilk.  It’s too bad we won’t get to try it LOL!

I have thought about this and I'm just going to lay it out there. The defensive line was supposed to be the strength of the team this year. Are they ? Harrison QB and RB bumped feet and the RB stumbled several times after getting the handoff and still got 8,9,10 yards or more, We didnt even have guys in the vicinity because they were tied up and pushed down the field. Harrison is no juggernaut. Not even close. The coming weeks will prove me right on that.  They barely even had 35 kids dressed out.  Were our coaches sandbagging ? It's possible but that excuse was used after Poplarville last year and the same problems carried into the season. Quit pissing down my back and tell me it's raining by saying the line needs to pass block. They don't half practice it because of trying to perfect running the ball. Thats the truth.  Send the house tackle the runner and these dudes wont throw it enough to beat you . The book is out on how to do it. It's painfully obvious by now the philosophy  is have two good drives per half and win with defense. What are you going to do when the defense don't hold ?  Watch a train wreck. You have to score points in South MS football.

WC's forte has always been that we may not have the most talent but we are going to play hard and scheme to your weakness and our strengths. Doesn't exist now.  It's been almost twenty years since WC beat Oak Grove or for that matter won a game we shouldn't have. Won't happen this week either and from my point of view ever again until some major changes are made. Like it or not we have been passed up as having a team that could  be counted on as  a title threat year in and year out.

So are you still as high on Hankins as you were when they first hired him?

I'm going to be nice until this season plays out but I'm also not under any illusions.  I hope for the best but I know now if he wasn't hired it would been Todd Lowery.  Brelands application was culled before the ink was dry.  Weak people are intimidated  by alphas. They are also spiteful.

I'm probably stirring a hornets nest with this but so be it.

Lol I love your opinions and takes for or against. Keep ‘em coming. There’s always another side of the light with your perspectives. You go off what you see not stats or hearsay. I know your not a feel good type but if Wayne County can go in and play ball that will go a long way.

I think you hit the nail on the head D. They will come in and play. Hard too.   But I don’t like feeling like it won’t be enough. This ain’t no rebuild anymore. Anybody who keeps up with the jr high schools knew this was the group that would start turning the corner. These ninth, tenth and eleventh graders. They have always played with a chip on the shoulder. I maybe coming off as angry, IDK . Could be but I expected more.  I think disappointment describes it better. That’s why I came in smoking.. 

It was just a scrimmage. Maybe I’m wrong.
