Have they had some industry close there or something?

Not really. Georgia pacific used to be a big employer there in the 90’s, but they aren’t as booming as they were back then. Tville used to use those jobs to recruit players families from West Jones back in the day. The school school made some bad hires over the years that really let the place go down quickly. People have been leaving in big numbers the last 5-6 years or so. They have had a few different years where they had 20 teachers leave in one year.

Goes back to the town and school leadership. Really, Hillman was a big reason.

I've talked to some of the kids and they are definitely committed to play for coach agee, that's something that's been lacking the last few years, but it's hard to commit to a program where coaches use it as a stepping stone ,here for a year  gone  the next! And not putting down the  coaches money is the name of the game, I think Adrian will be a great coach and he'll get kids out to play! He's a home town guy and  i think he'll be at Taylorsville for a while! But then Mitch Evans was too...and you know what they say about money talking!

I wish him well, Taylorsville used to always be in the championship discussion. Be good to see it again

Talked to coach Agee he said he has North of 46 players as of now! So they're heading in the right direction! May have a few more before season starts, just have to wait and see!

Yeah I do not believe that at all. It’s not possible to double the size of your roster in less than a year. They didn’t have that many students just sitting in the hallways. If they have 46 players, he’s including his junior high too.

Tville people turnt there back on the school and the super screwed them running off the best teachers and leaders for voting him out and the school board didn't help them neither.  Lot of jealousy come with all them ships they win.  The pay in this county is terrible too but the super was blowing crazy money on his girlfriend he brought in.  This county finally cleaning up some.

It is possible when the kids and parents now you. That guy is doing everything at that school and the kids love him. Taylorsville is headed in the right direction.

Scoreboard may be gone but they needed a new one anyway. Their stadium and fieldhouse are fine. The baseball field was heavily damaged, and softball fence was damaged I think. I imagine they will play the rest of their games on the road, and when available they will play some of their home games at mize

No home baseball game scheduled until March 28th. I can alternating between Mize and Raleigh  if necessary.

Come Agee is in the neighborhood working the clean up. Ran into him earlier. The community is in high hopes and looking forward to pressing on.

Talked to my cousin last night. Her dad's home was damaged. Her home and the florist are OK. She said the baseball and softball fields were heavily damaged. The coaches are considering several local fields for home games. I thought at 1 time they played home games at the city park west of time. Those fields should be legal for high school.

The baseball team can still play their games at their old field at the city league fields by southern pine, but the problem is that field also has some work that will have to be done to it before it’s playable. I could see the possibility of having it fixed and ready by time playoffs get here. I know our coach has reached out to their coach and told them they can use our field when available.

Next home game is March 28th against Newton. Perhaps Bay Springs can help on that one. It may be that they only play region doubleheaders away.
