It’s a big lost but not about to say that other kids can’t get it done. Adrian has known for months about them leaving.

True. Taylorsville still has the athletes, I was just looking forward to seeing him play baseball there

It's going to take coach some time to build his program. Taylorsville will be a playoff team continously in 1A. A dangerous 3 or 4 seed so be it.

Taylorsville or Lumberton should run 1A south for awhile

Tville always get down talked about not been good, coach ain’t good all that mess. Adrian has won every single stop he has been at. Yes I know he wasn’t the head coach but brought some of his schemes at every stop. He helped coach Grady bring Newton out of a dark place with three straight playoff appearances. Beating some teams with way less players and talent. I wasn’t sure on the hire at first myself until I seen the work he and those kids put in over there. A change is coming and it’s coming quick.

I don’t know anybody that’s said any of that. If it’s one thing Tville has always had it’s good coaches. Now I will say, the junior high the last 2 seasons was the worse I have ever seen there, by alot. I don’t know if they even won a game last year, and they may have won 1 game the year before. That don’t mean that’s what will happen in high school, but it does mean the they will have to work harder than usual. The problems with the school the last 5-6 years has been what keeps making these coaches leave and also discouraged a lot of people from applying.

I guess you haven’t seen the comments on here. The JH did win a game. Maybe the last coaches didn’t put an emphasis on the program knowing they were getting the hell out. Tville has become a place where coaches go to win and build resumes and leave. It has nothing to so with the building level administration.

Believe me, it has everything to do with the school.

T-town as it was once called used to be the premium for athletes and coaches, what has happened to this place that everyone wants out, and it shows with the enrollment numbers on the decline.

Former Superintendent, Former asst Superintendent, Former principal committing acts unbecoming of a man, current principal and staff turnover. is partly if not mostly to blame. They hatched a plan in the near future under the table that got out that consolidation was going to happen. It has never been brought to the school board. Teachers and principals at Mize and Raleigh had had enough of the shenanigans. Overthrow the Superintendent etc, etc. Georgia Pacific in Taylorsville was bought out and the practice of bringing in families and providing jobs was halted. Students jumped to Mize, Raleigh, Sylva Bay, and West Jones because of the shenanigans. Hiring of coaches using the system of winning to move on up somewhere else hasn't helped.

Taylorsville lost the baseball, football, basketball, and softball coaches the last year every coach left here and a bunch of teachers left.  Aint no leadership running the school just a bunch of people from other place that don't care and ain't fixing nothing in the school Mize and Raleigh run the board and the Mize principal the super now.

Mize has the least amount of voters in the county. For years and years and years Mize had the least amount of representation on the school board. Mize still has the least amount of voters in the county. The fact that Tville doesn’t have as much of a voice on the board anymore is their own fault. They have more voters, they could elect whoever they want. Tville’s issues stem from one reason only… and that’s the fact that about 10-15 years ago they started making bad hires in administration, and it started the downhill spiral. That caused a lot of good folks to move away, and now the damage is done. Steps have been made the last couple of years to try to correct the problems, but it’s gonna take a pretty long time to get it fixed, and that’s even if it’s possible to get fixed. Once you let a school go down, it’s hard to get new people to move in.

The softball coach is still at the school. The baseball coach left for money the girls basketball left for money the boys is a different story. I don’t know what you calling a bunch of teachers. Most of them moved home and the others went to Mize. They live in Taylorsville and kids go to Mize

Beat 1 Mize and Raleigh Central/SW

Beat 2 Taylorsville and Raleigh SE/EC

Beat 3 Mize and Taylorsville SE

Beat 4  Mize and Raleigh NW to SW

Beat 5 Raleigh NC/NE

Majority of the population in the County is North and South along Simpson and Rankin County lines. The supervisors are suppose to vote all 5 districts nearly even in population. Stop the kids from jumping line and straighten out the leadership at Taylorsville and things will get back to normal over time. Previous superintendents were the problem. We can't  stop the people from moving out that's a city leadership project. If Hillman had his way there wouldn't be anymore Tartars, Dogs, and Lions. IMaybe pulpwood hauler or Sharks. I believe someone had already picked a mascot.  Liberals
