Next couple of years could be pretty good if we stay healthy. Only one starting football player plays baseball so spring should be pretty good. coastfootballfanman Posted January 30, 2025 Share Posted January 30, 2025 Should be a good spring at Ocean Springs. Lost some pieces up front, but still have 3 I believe coming back on offense. Whitehead is back to hopefully be the quarterback from the offense. Lost 2 good wide receivers but we have some talented guys in the wings waiting. Lost Will Smith at RB, but we have some young talent we will be counting on. Defensively, we should be sound. Lost some really, really good players but we should still be pretty solid. My son is making a return to play this year after a year sabbatical to "focus on baseball". I will be excited to see him out there. He probably will not play very much (he is a much better baseball player than football) but it is good to build some mental and physical toughness. He was as quick as a hiccup! He was dangerously fast and hard-nosed. He was definitely capable of making a play. Made a bunch on defense too.
