Ain’t no way Stone and Gautier will be better than y’all.  This poll is a complete joke and I’ll gladly eat my crow if I’m wrong.  But yes you’re right Region 4-5A is a gauntlet but it’s a gauntlet Wayne County can get through.  Y’all held your own against Meridian in the spring game and low and behold, they’re in the top 10 in 7A.  You’ve got this Maroon Tide fan believing in the War Eagles and yes I’m putting my eggs in one basket because I don’t need another one.  It would just go to Jacob’s Well if I had another basket.

stone above wayne and laurel is funny.  They had one good year in 4A and now number 3 in 5A with a new coach?  I will take that bet.  My opinion is Laurel will come up with a great season.  Wayne, vancleave, and gautier will also be tough.  None of it matters anyway WEST POINT is waiting

I just hope there's somebody in 5A South that can hang.  I'd like to think that 5A South runs through Waynesboro, but Laurel is definitely a tough out come playoff time.  I guess the million dollar question is which team from 5A South will match up the best against the Green Wave and have the greatest chance at winning it.  I think 5A South will be underdogs this go round, but it won't be impossible.

I stand by my statement.

As you should because Winona is loaded like you said. He does this every year where he says what Enterprise will do against the favorite to win it all in a game that never even happens. Last year it was Raleigh. As for a game that will happen, my eyes and the rest of 3A’s should be too, will be on the week 2 matchup when Winona host Grenada. If Winona is competitive in that game or somehow wins then that’ll put the rest of 3A on notice.

I know.  Just blowing him off with his comment.  I don't think they actually need a game to put 3a on notice.  I think a lot of 3a coaches would say to win the North you will have to beat Winona.  They have several legit D1 guys not a bunch of guys that fans think should be D1.

Noxubee County's non-region schedule is something else for a 3A team.

They play those schools just about every year. They have been winning for years and 2A schools will not play them. It's just where they located and bigger schools surrounding them.

They haven't played this kind of pre-region schedule since 2018

... if Noxubee can get out of that 1st half of the year without major injuries.  That's a murderers row.

I would almost be willing to play 1st string 1st half then play the play the backups at some positions to avoid injuries. Noxubee has some big boys on the line and in the backfield. Starkville and Louisville will be the toughest 2. Noxubee will be ready for Region play with some backup experience.

Many rumblings this is Coach Chambliss's last rodeo.  Some added pressure, but excellent motivation as well if true.  For this reason I hope it's not Hattiesburg this year if they make it.

Thankfully y’all won’t have to play Hattiesburg, but you’ll probably have to travel to Hattiesburg again.  The Rock is a good venue for the State Championships and they’ll probably be there as long as USM wants them to be.  Even if this is Chambliss’s last rodeo, he won’t have any trouble making it back to the 5A title game.  There just won’t be any difficult competition for West Point in 5A North this year.  If West Point doesn’t make it to the title game, I’ll be utterly shocked.

Enterprise played 2 times in a scrimage and lost by a total of 34-0. It would have been 40 plus to what ever Enterprise can score against the scrubs. Some of the scrubs didn't get scored on. Don't be surprised Noxubee puts a 50 plus and McLaurin takes them to the 4th qtr.

I was there and this is pretty much correct. People don’t realize what three lost seasons of kids pretty much doing what they wanted hurt. They worked out if they wanted, they had no discipline on the field…. Hankins had bring that back and our kids are bigger, stronger and faster. We have to make adjustments agreed but this will not be last years team. I see improvements on both sides of the ball plus we made a home run coaching hire don’t overlook that.

I’m getting positive feedback on that too.  I know that Coach Hankins has emphasized our  scoring woes. We lost a dam good coach that went into administration too

I’m going to come right down and say it.  If you can’t look at #12 and know what you got there. They were putting three people to stop him In Gautier. Laurel did the same thing but he boxed them out and got the rebound all night

He’s the best wide receiver we have ever had come through here and we have had some prime time ones.  That’s what you build around .

Coach isn’t blind he knows what he’s got.Every game we lost was because the offensive line got overwhelmed.

Agree there's not much difficulty in their path, but since this is a message board one can not be too careful.

Absolutely #12 is the real deal I hope he getting it done in the classroom. He’s an SEC receiver I promise you that. Another thing is he’s not alone he has help he’s not the only receiver WC has. The Oline and DLine is much improved, bringing back the leading tackler on Defense. Plenty of experience on both sides of the ball.

You should worry about Raleigh; yall gonna find life without Perkins tough; Enterprise will be fine.

They lost 20-0 and 22-0 in two one quarter scrimmages.
