We should have played South Panola for the state title back in 2003.  I honestly don't know if they are the favorites coming out of 6A North, but if they are I'd like to see us play them.  That would be a great matchup for sure, but both teams would need to keep the head to the plow and take care of business.

Raleigh? They just lost their heart and soul on both sides of the ball and the other back that took some of the load off of him! They will win that district but that's about it.

No they will be in the 2nd round with playing Region 7 in round 1. Coaching staff will put them in South State of not the 3rd round. This group of juniors played at USM in 6th grade. Their re loading not rebuilding. All they need is one running back to step up. That running back may be Perkins #2.

What's your reasoning for Raleigh, Tupelo and Enterprise at #1?

I know they bring back a good bit and have talent, but putting 2-8 George County in the top 10 seems like a stretch at this point in time. I fully expect them to be a contender in their region next season, but to put them in the Top 10 overall in the state for 6A just seems like a little much.

Tupelo is obvious; they have almost everyone back from a 13-1 team;  Raleigh wont be as good but are dropping down and still have a good team; Scott Central loses 19 so they wont 3 peat; Enterprise will have a very fast and athletic backfield with a lot of speed and will have the potential to beat anyone in 3a.

Enterprise is not #1, I appreciate your loyalty but be realistic.

I’m usually a little more reserved on predictions but OG is set to be pretty loaded next year. 6 D1 returning starters so far including two D lineman with multiple SEC offers. It’s no wonder Causey felt confident enough to put Hoover on the schedule.

Raleigh will go deep in 2A playoffs

We play region 7 in round 1. My guess is Raleigh  and Bay Springs will meet in South State or 3rd round depending on their Region seeding. Enterprise will be at home after Round 1 vs Tylertown, Sr Stanislaus, or West Marion.

Which high school team do you pull for Rebel Bert?  Is it a school in one of the smaller classifications?

Raleigh is where I graduated. Basically talent wise all their loosing is two running backs. That system is hard to stop. This group of seniors made it to USM in the 5th/6th grade. They will go deep in a much weaker 2A.

It's a good thing y'all scheduled Taylorsville.  I know they will be 1A this year, but that seems like a good rivalry game that you have.   I realize the series has been dominated by Taylorsville, but Raleigh has certainly turned things around there.

What do you mean they made it to USM in the 5th/6th grade? Is that like a peewee championship or am I missing something?

Yes Pee Wee. And yes this group also won in Junior High. The cup is not bare in Raleigh just yet. This coach wants to continue winning.

Enterprise will be lucky to be #2 seed hosting probably an improved West Marion team in Round 1. Their season will come to am end when they run into JDC, Magee, Hazlehurst, St Stanislaus, or Tylertown.

You responded to my original post with stuff about 2a and Raleigh. I think you're a bit confused.
