Every time HHS has played at Jim Hill it has been at the field where you get onto 220. I guess that would be North Jackson. I know South Jackson is where Forest Hill plays and Newell Field is over by Veterans Stadium

They all play at Hughes now.  Newell hasn't seen a game since either 2016 or 2017, and that is where Murrah and Bailey used to play.

I won’t pretend to know the stadium names around d Jackson.  But that concrete one behind the big concrete nothing looking building I am thinking is the one bear Murrah???  Is that Newell??  If so, why do they not use it?

I think that is where Belhaven plays

Above my pay grade lol. But if I had to guess.. the open dates we have didn’t coincide with other teams available dates.

5 team regions in 4A-1A unfortunately gives you open dates in October for schools like St Patrick and Port Gipson in week 10. The coaches simply don't want to travel that far in the regular season.

There are schools with open dates for those dates. There are most likely 1A thru 4A and travel may be an issue. Unlikely a 1A or 2A coach will  step up and play Wayne County.  You can thank 7 classes and 5 team regions for those open dates.

Just saw the MHSAA master schedule for every team this season. Unless something changes Hattiesburg will only have 1 Friday Night road contest this season. Petal is on a Saturday. Jim Hill Forest Hill and Terry are on a Thursday. Laurel is the only Friday road contest.

Dang that sucks.  We only have 4 home games, but that last game of the regular season that's on Thursday is one Thursday too many.

I know the JPS schools play a lot of Thursday games due to them not having their own stadiums and having to play both Thursday and Friday nights. Here is another tidbit. Hattiesburg is playing both Forest Hill and Jim Hill at the same field. We will be going to south Jackson back to back Thursday nights

I guess the trade off is better for next year but it's not great for this year either.
