The refs stole that game from Picayune. I can handle getting beat fairly but this was hardly anything but a fair called game. The best team has to sit out the state championship game.

That’s exactly how I feel about it.  Those officials had a vendetta against Picayune for sure.

DB held or PI'd WR at least twice b/c he was outmatched. Pretty much anyone would have been outmatched,  but if you're referring to that, the penalties were legit

No he’s not referring to that.  We had three touchdowns that were wiped off the board by the officials.  We had scored a passing touchdown on an untimed down before halftime.  We also had two rushing touchdowns that were called off as well.

All I can say is that Tony Vance willed his way to making tonight  into a game he was in control of so good job on that for whatever that means. I have't been shy about how I feel about his antics but his staff joined in tonight. It worked. I was watching up close so there was no filter tonight.  Enough on that.

Their defense got totally worked but you can expect that in Picayune.

The onsides kicks I don't even know what to say about that,

That receiver ,man  the only player I've ever seen  like that in person  was Eric Moulds . Big overpowering  nitro  . Just unstoppable.  There is nothing precision about what they do. They just throw it in his general direction.

Their crowd should pack their side next Saturday.

That game tonight was the real state title game. The tigers will skull drag whoever the north sends down. They can put as many defenders they want on #5. When he is called upon he will make the play.

The first trophy in school history should be exciting.  I respect what this team has done but it doesn't excite me.

Party Down

2nd trophy, if they get it (first was 1924)... and they have a substantial opponent in the final.

Should be a really good game.

And 100% on the WR.  He's beast

Not just once but how many times.  My problem with it was the why they changed . They stayed in the back ground and let them play football in the beginning but all that changed. They were weak ,gutless and afraid .

Okay a second one . They will win easily next weekend . Grenada is too small at defending skill players for Hattiesburg.

Guess we'll see. A one demsional offense basically predicated on lucky passes to 1 great athlete isn't usually a lock for a state championship.  It might work out, it might not.

I remember how Heidelberg double covered Stevan Ridley all game in  2003 and played 9v10 and won in the championship.

No.3 for Hattiesburg only caught 3 less passes than Keys. In fact no.3 caught the game winning td. So saying HHS offense is predicated just on keys is laughable

Hattiesburg isn’t one dimensional. They’ve had different looks all season long. Vance knew we weren’t going to stop Picayune so he opted to sling to preserve time and doing onside kicks. If we would have ran the ball more we would have for sure lost. Being without Oatis and Duck on the dline didn’t help either. With the sweep Yune was moving at will.
