14-1 with what looks like might end 14-2 unless Auburn pulls it out in last 3 mins. Who would’ve thought it would be UK and Auburn that suffered the two losses?

His dad sure didn’t look too happy when he picked Ole Miss. I actually told a buddy that one is not going to stick just wait and see.

Now 11-1 with 9 of the wins being double digit wins. Dominance has carried into day two. Four games left to go.

Ole Miss had a pretty good day. No one flipped and that’s a great thing. Ended the day getting two solid players in Tyler Lockhart and 4 star WR Winston Watkins that I didn’t think we’d get. Not a lot of guys that’ll boost your ranking into the top five but a bunch of guys if you watch their film you know they’re going to contribute once on campus. I remember when NSD felt like Christmas morning but the way things are now it’s kind of like alright let’s see who we’re leasing for a possible year or two.

Ole Miss gets two early morning signatures from skill guys that should start as freshmen. Cunningham and Mills-Knight both should make immediate impact with the offense. Still waiting on Dillon Alfred to sign. Him, Cunningham, Cayden Lee plus whoever we get in the portal should make a solid WR group for Simmons to throw to. On the OL Kenneth Boston signed this morning and could also possibly be a day 1 starter. Comes in with a big body at 6’8 320 and moves good for his size as well. Him with Devin Harper who hasn’t signed yet sets the OL up good for the future. On defense Maison Dunn from Tupelo signed who I expect will see good amount of playing time in the secondary as a freshman. Bama and Louisville made a late push for him but he ended up sticking with Ole Miss. Him, Ladarian Clardy(waiting on signature) and Keon Young(also signed this morning) will be the future of the secondary. ETA:Dillon Alfred and Devin Harper are now signed.

Interested to see how Bama looks without Wrightsell who just suffered season ending ACL injury. Was averaging 11 points a game for them. Was going to be hard to get a win in Chapel Hill already. A chance for a bounce back signature win for the Tide after losing to Oregon this past Saturday. If Auburn were playing at home I think they’d blow Duke out but with it being in Cameron this should be a tight game but I still give the edge to Auburn unless they just have an off night. I think State playing at home will help them pull off a nice win against a ranked Pitt team. Both teams can put up some points so I expect it to be high scoring.

UK blows a perfect night for the SEC but 9-1 isn’t too shabby. They beat Duke few weeks ago so I guess it evens out. On the season the SEC is 21-2 against ACC teams. The only other loss of the season was Pitt beating LSU.

SEC is now 9-0 with 7 of the 9 being double digit wins. About as dominant of a statement as one can make. UK/Clemson going to come down to the wire with Clemson currently up by 3 with 5 mins left.

Ole Miss cruises to a 86-63 win and bounces back on the road to get a solid win. That now puts the SEC up 7-0 with 2 more possible wins coming up in a little bit with OU over Georgia Tech and LSU over FSU if both can hang on. A possible 10-0 first night sweep could happen if those two hang on and Kentucky outlast Clemson in a good battle right now. Should look good in March when bids are being looked at and how many from each conference gets in.

SEC with a 5-0 lead in the SEC/ACC Challenge. Ole Miss currently leads Louisville 40-31 at the half. We’ll see if they can hold on to it. Not bad to have a 9 point lead with Murray/Murrell only accounting for 7 points between the two. Hopefully Louisville continues with their 7% shooting from the 3 in 2H. Ole Miss hasn’t really been lighting it up either from the outside though shooting only 27%.

1. I know small ball has been overlooked in this thread but I think the biggest underdog is Baldwyn over Simmons. Baldwyn will try to score against a team that’s only given up 52 points all season and held Velma Jackson to 0. Most, even myself, think this one will be over by halftime but that’s why the games are played. Anything can happen. 2. I think Grenada isn’t getting the respect it deserves from some and also 6A North in general. I remember in another thread someone saying Grenada and Warren Central would be 6th or 7th in the south but fail to realize Warren Central battled it out with Brandon in a 1 point loss and also went toe to toe with Madison Central. They weren’t a slouch of a team by any means and Grenada was able to wear them down in the 2H. Hattiesburg will have their hands full trying to stop Taylor. A lot of teams have tried and all have pretty much failed on his way to 2500 yards rushing. Cotton at WR isn’t a slouch either. He can use his 6’5 210 frame to go up and get the 50/50 balls and helps the offense be a little more balanced. 3. I almost picked Gautier over West Point because West Point’s offense just isn’t as good as in years past but man is their defense legit. That secondary is hard to pass against and front seven is very physical. Even with a less of an offense this year you’ll still find yourself in the 4th quarter and them wearing you down with the same offense they’ve always run and next thing you know they’ve stretched the lead out.

Got put at #13 so that means no playoffs. Miami at #12 means they’re out as well. Bama at #11 is in for now. That logo got them in because as much as ppl say Ole Miss struggled against Florida and also against State, they seem to forget Bama is two weeks removed from losing by 21 to OU then not looking good against Auburn. It is what it is though. I’m not upset at the committee’s choice. Ole Miss should’ve won the games they were suppose to. Now the question is since we’re the first SEC team out do we go to the Citrus or Las Vegas Bowl. Citrus gets the first SEC choice. Both bowls will have a story to it based off bowl predictions. Citrus would be against Illinois and former QB Luke Altmyer and Las Vegas would be against USC which I know Kiffin would love to win. I think if it’s the Las Vegas bowl against USC, Kiffin might be able to talk all his guys into playing and not sitting out. Bama could still be bumped out however with a Clemson win because I think SMU is a lock. Not sure Boise St can afford a loss in their championship game though. It’s a possibility they could still get in but it’s very unlikely. Does Jeanty being up for Heisman help their odds to get in with a loss?

I accidentally looked at a BYU post on there the other day that messed up my algorithm and now I get a bunch of BYU posts. I’ve gotten a kick out of seeing so many of their fans claiming they have the better resume than Bama, Ole Miss, USC and Miami and they deserve the auto bid plus the Big 12 is the toughest conference this year because an OK State team that went 0-9 in the conference beat Arkansas and ASU beat State.

Bunch of folks jumping into the portal today. One I’m interested in is Eric Rivers. Was 4th in the nation in receiving yards with 1,172 yards and 12 TD’s. We had good luck with one WR that came from CUSA. Julian Humphrey entering today was kind of surprising since he started 10 games for Georgia this year but also kind of not since he lost his starting job.

I would’ve said Miami instead of Bama but the AP dropping them all the way to #14 was a surprise. Interested to see what the committee does with them. The AP dropped them more with a loss to 9-3 Syracuse than they did Bama with a blowout loss to 6-6 OU. That Bama brand favoritism. Miami really doesn’t have that great of a resume though so we’ll see.

Neither Ole Miss nor South Carolina are getting in so I stopped worrying about it. Ole Miss will be going to the Las Vegas Bowl and South Carolina will be in the Citrus Bowl vs Illinois since the Citrus Bowl gets first SEC and Big 10 choice. Alabama will be the 12 seed traveling to take on 5 seed Notre Dame.

Especially since things haven’t been smooth sailing since joining the Big 12. Having two losing seasons in the two seasons they’ve been a member.

It appears Ohio St/Michigan wasn’t the only brawl today. Bama/Auburn had an after the game altercation and NC State pulled a Michigan trying to plant the flag on the 50 which caused a brawl between UNC.

Just when Texas had a chance to pretty much put the game away Ewers throws a 93 yard pick 6 to give A&M some life.
