I find that hard to believe because EBF said Enterprise had so much size and speed on page one. He wouldn’t ever over exaggerate.

I expected a defensive battle with 2 QB’s that were going to feel their way through the game. I’m giving them both a pass on this game. I think a lot of Texas’ problem was more on Sark’s play calling than Arch’s inability to get anything going til late. It was like Sark was calling scared most of the game.

I would say first craziness of the season but without Jeanty, I don’t know too many people who didn’t have this game circled as an early season ranked team loss.

My first thought on the USF/Boise State game. I remember when knee pads were a thing. USF QB out there wearing biker shorts.

I was reading up on him this morning. Missed a season due to a ruptured patella tendon then had a MCL injury setback so yea def hasn’t had the best of luck.

Was quite surprised as well when I saw him on the roster. He’s RB1 on their depth chart. Another guy I was surprised to see was Georgia transfer and former Germantown HS standout Branson Robinson as their RB2. He’s a RB I thought Ole Miss would go after this past offseason. Was highly touted out of high school as the #3 player in MS and #9 RB nationally but just hasn’t panned out in college so far.

Only one we got close by that I can think of is Batesville and I got food poisoning last time I ate there so I wasn’t going back anytime soon anyways. They use to be good back in the day but they fell off big time. Poison me once shame one you, poison me twice well you ain’t getting that chance.

Interested to see Amos return to Oxford where he stayed long enough for a cup of coffee. My guess is he’ll put up 100 yards rushing. I think with Georgia St returning a veteran QB, that +38 should be easy money.

Oh I know. I just enjoy his yearly talk up of them. This year it’s justified as they look to be a solid squad.

My only complaint with that one and it’s the only because I love everything else about it but I probably would’ve went with Blue Devils in both endzone cuz PRC being so small looks strange. It would grow on me though. If anybody has ever been to the Duke campus, that Blue Devil and trees in the backdrop definitely give off a Durham vibe.

I was tough on Ole Miss last year saying it was a playoff or bust year. I don’t think I was wrong. It was a wasted opportunity with one of the best teams we’ve ever had. This year I’m the same even though the expectations are lowered by some. I love what I’ve seen from the defense and it’s a defense that’ll improve each week. LB group is going to be one of the best we’ve seen in a very long time. Dottery and Perkins going to be fun to watch. DL will be nasty again. Raw at spots but nasty and learn each game. Secondary is my only concern with the defense and I think by midseason they’ll be where they need to be. Offensively it’s all going to come down to the OL. Yes the OL, not Simmons. WR group IMO is better than it was last year and people will notice it quickly. TE group even with the loss of Hasz should be plenty good enough to give Simmons something to throw to and are all good blocking TE’s as well. Hoping Wright builds on his final part of last season. Even though he’s not listed in the depth chart at TE I expect Odom to be like an Evan Engram hybrid type of TE. RB group, can it get any worse than last year? I love the duo of Diggs/Lacy. Hopefully Kiffin loves them too or it’s UBIV all over again. I like that we get LSU, USC and Florida at home. It helps our odds. Those games being at home make them tossups for me. I expect us to lose on the road to Georgia. Them looking for revenge plus us going from 4 home games in a row to that one is a recipe for disaster. The game I got circled that can make or break the season is on the road against OU. Comes the week after Georgia so the team will either be on a high or a low so it’ll be how they go from one game to the next. I think we lose 1 of the 3 home games I mentioned above so this one will be a make or break game for playoff implications.

But are they loaded enough to dethrone Louisville in the north? We’ll get an early glimpse of that week 2.
